DA GREA NATURAL BEACH HOTEL

Close to the beach and it’s nice to walk along the beach to Nilaveli beach (ca. 1 h). The owner serves nice local breakfast and dinner after request.

Nos gustó mucho. Kajaa, el manager, es muy atento. Thaya también fue muy servicial y simpático. La ubicación es muy tranquila con una playa para nosotros a 100 metros y muy limpia sin olas. Nos podían llevar a la ciudad y nos gestionaron la cena. También grstionaron ma excursión a ver delfines y hacer snorkel y nos tocó un buen guía. Hicimos una fiesta por la noche junto al mar que fue genial. Las camas cómodas, el aire funciona y el baño bien. Relación calidad - precio no se puede pedir más.

We reizen met 7 personen, we hadden 3 kamers met airco en een soort terras voor onze ( schone) kamers. Kaja en zijn team zijn ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam. We hebben de snorkel/ dolfijn tour gedaan en dit wordt allemaal door Kaja geregeld. Het was een prachtige dolfijntour ( geen massa toerisme) en we waren alleen samen met de tonijn vissers. Iedere ochtend lekker eenvoudig ontbijt, meer dan genoeg. Heerlijk diner ! Goeie koffie en een heerlijk rustig plekje. Je bent met de tuk tuk ( regelt Kaja voor je) overal binnen een kwartier.
We zijn de 2e dag gaan lopen ( 3 km ) over het strand naar nilaveli beach) : prachtig! Kortom, dit verblijf is een aanrader!

Quiet location close to a quiet beach. Good place to rest. Dinner 1500. Can recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay with Tina's family at the guesthouse. First of all everyone was extremely friendly. The property is large with lots of shade and friendly animals, 3 cute little dogs who enjoyed walking us to the beach. The location is a bit remote and rural, it is very quiet and we made the most of our stay there by taking long walks on the beach every day. You can easily walk to Nilavelli beach which is lovely, it takes about 1 hour and you can go for a dip on the way to cool off. You can also rent a motorbike if you want to discover the area, the hosts helped us arrange a scooter for a day but in the end we had so much more fun walking. Most importantly the food was INCREDIBLE. Tina's mom is a great chef and we got to taste lots of delicious currys, dals, chutneys and they even got hoppers for us when we asked for it. We are very very grateful for this experience. The room was comfortable enough, the bed a little small for my partner who is very tall but it was okay. If you prefer you can also book the aircon room. We had a room with a fan and when we slept with windows open it was doable with the heat. This week that we stayed here will stay forever in our hearts. Thank you!!

Incredible hotel! Great value for money! Super comfortable rooms with AC and the food was delicious! String hoppers topped with the usual + eggplant! We loved it! And constantly had fruit provided to us! Lovely people (and puppies) to stay with! Also had a really nice outdoor space to relax in, under the coconut trees so you are well hidden from the sun. A short 15 minute ride into town, was perfect for us who like to enjoy the peace and quiet of rural Sri Lanka! Couldn’t recommend this stay more!

Pretty secluded and quiet, 5 minutes walk to the beach! Staff was very nice and there is a mosquito net over the bed. Easy parking

The kindest family you could possibly stay with. It is not located very close to the more popular beaches in Trinco but there is almost like a private beach 300 mtrs away. And you can hire a two wheeler from them to visit the other beaches.

It is perfect if you want to relax and spend time away from the crowd.

We just randomly booked this property via booking.com just cause this property is very near to the beach and it's value for money. When we reached this property, it was around 11PM and we weren't feeling ok about how we were reaching this property because the road to this property isnt developed and it's an isolated place mostly. After reaching there and after looking at the hotel staff, a few of my friends didn't feel safe there and they really wanted to not check in and find a different property at that late at night. Others also felt isolated but we put ourselves together and convinced others to stay there for that one night and we can shift to a different property the following day as it was very late already that day. Somehow, we were successful and convinced the panicked ones to stay for the night.

MIND YOU ALL, staying there for that night was the best decision of all of our Srilankan stays. I am not talking about the space, amenities and views that this property provided. Of course, the priority is only a 5 min walk away from one of the best serene beaches of Trincomalee. But that wasn't the major reason.

Man, the hospitality of the family (father, mother, son, cat and the couple of dogs) showered on us was the best thing we didnt realise we could experience in Trincomalee. We arrived late at night and we wanted to cook something in their personal kitchen and they totally accommodated us and provided us with what we wanted.

Once, we were headed towards some place towards the beach late in the night and the property owner thought we were actually headed to the beach and he followed us on scooty and caught us in the middle just to alarm us that the beach won't be safe in the safe at nights as elephants would visit the beaches in the night. It's only one incident but that's how the family is concerned about our safety.

I had planned a stay of two days but at the end I stayed for over one week. If you are looking for a relaxing place to stay, away from mass tourism and a beach just for you, then this is the optimal place. The family is very lovely, they cared so well for me and we did even activities together. They organised me a bicycle, snorkel mask and many things more. I had an excellent time and can only warmly recommend this natural beach hotel to everyone.

Amazing peaceful hotel, friendly and helpful staff. The aircon is brand new and the showers are hot which is great! Bed is very comfortable. Great value for money.
Also if you head quite a way back down the driveway around 7pm you’ll see many flying fox bats in the sky which is awesome and amazing experience.

I am not satisfied with the place i booked and the road to the site is not safety and security.
