go2 Dundee Camperdown Hotel free car park

The whole hotel is tired looking and in the rooms you can see where fixtures and fittings have been removed, leaving only the bare minimum of requirements. The room carpet was stained in places, although generally it was clean, especially in the bathroom. My wife says the mattress was very comfortable. There’s some traffic noise all night.

Needs a little upgrading

The carpets were the worst carpets I’ve ever seen in a holes with brown stains all over them. The rooms were stinking and no amount of air freshener could get rid of the smell

It was very tired and the electricity was not working. There was no help with this despite lots of phone calls

Please check reviews upfront for real photos. This place was very dirty. Staff was not very talkative. Close to highway so very noisy. The carpet was full with stains, the chair had a sigarette hole in it. the bathroom was rusty and old. I did not even dare to shower. Would not recommend.

Formal Complaint and Request for Refund – Early Departure

Dear Go2 Dundee Hotel Administration,

I am writing to formally inform you that we are leaving the hotel one day earlier than the four nights that we booked and paid for. Our booking was due to end on 09/09/2026.

Unfortunately, we no longer consider it possible to remain at the hotel due to the unacceptable standards of hygiene and the lack of basic preparation and maintenance of the room since our check-in on Saturday, 05/09/2026.

When we arrived, the room was dirty and clearly had not been properly prepared for our arrival. There was no soap, no toilet tissue, and some of the [items/fixtures] were burnt.

Over the following three days, despite making multiple requests to the hotel staff, no action was taken to clean the room, change the towels or bed linen, or provide the essential supplies that were included in what we had paid for.

We also contacted a person who identified himself as the “manager” on three separate occasions. Unfortunately, no action was taken following any of these requests. On each occasion, we were simply told, “We apologise,” after which the subject was changed. We were also given different and inconsistent explanations regarding the hotel’s policies.

Given the total lack of acceptable hygiene conditions and the failure to address our repeated requests, we have no alternative but to leave the hotel one day before the end of our booking.

I would therefore appreciate a reimbursement for the final night, which has already been paid for but will not be used.

I look forward to receiving confirmation of the refund.

Nuestra experiencia fue muy decepcionante, especialmente por las pésimas condiciones de higiene y limpieza que encontramos a nuestra llegada. Al entrar en el alojamiento, encontramos una presencia evidente de humedad y moho en diferentes zonas. También había moho visible en el interior del dispensador de agua, tanto en el filtro como en la tapa. Además, ya había agua dentro del dispensador cuando llegamos, lo que nos generó serias dudas sobre su limpieza y sobre si era seguro utilizarlo. La falta de limpieza no se limitaba al moho. La alfombra estaba visiblemente muy sucia, encontramos manchas que parecían ser de sangre en las sábanas, había telarañas en diferentes zonas del alojamiento y se apreciaban restos de líquido derramado en las paredes. El ventilador estaba cubierto de polvo y suciedad. Estos son solo algunos de los problemas que encontramos, ya que había otras deficiencias de limpieza e higiene. Consideramos que unas condiciones de este tipo van mucho más allá de que el alojamiento pueda estar simplemente "menos limpio de lo esperado". La presencia de humedad y moho puede afectar especialmente a personas con problemas respiratorios y provocar o agravar síntomas como tos, irritación de las vías respiratorias, congestión o dificultades para respirar. En mi caso, soy asmática, por lo que estar expuesta a un ambiente con humedad y moho supone una preocupación real para mi salud.
Ante esta situación, consideramos que el alojamiento no reunía unas condiciones de higiene y seguridad razonables para recibir huéspedes. Disponemos de fotografías que documentan todos estos problemas.
Antes de dejar esta reseña, intentamos resolver la situación directamente con la dirección. Enviamos un correo explicando detalladamente lo que habíamos encontrado, incluyendo nuestra preocupación por las condiciones de higiene y por mi problema de asma, y solicitamos una solución y el reembolso de la estancia. Lamentablemente, no recibimos ninguna respuesta.

The smell...it stank like a wet dog, the chair had burn marks and the carpet was disgusting and there was a dirty towel behind the door

The hotel seemed a bit run down and some repairs were needed. The bathroom could have been cleaner there was some mould etc between the tiles and the room had a slightly stale smell
