Highly recommended
Pros:

Exceptionally high standards. Personal trainer at the gym provided excellent technique for weightlifting and exercise. Reception staff were friendly and efficient. Great variety of breakfast options. We were spoilt for choice. The hospitality of the caterers and staff was beyond expectation. Extremely clean and spacious rooms. Outdoors were inviting and well maintained. Sparkling pool and hygienic gym.

Cons:

Price of spa treatments were exorbitant in comparison to other GRT hotels. We were not offered the complimentary foot massage which we received at Chennai GRT hotel.

A nice hotel, we enjoyed our stay, check out the location
Pros:

We had a nice room, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was excellent.

Cons:

The hotel is located on the Madurai ring road so it’s not very easy or pleasant to walk to shops or restaurants nearby. We had no problem getting a tuk-tuk to the centre of the city where the Meenakshi temple is (about 20 mins from the hotel). However our tuk-tuk driver for the return journey to the hotel didn’t really know where the hotel was, took a wrong turn and had to make several stops for directions, even though I showed him a card from the hotel, which he perhaps couldn’t read well. We got back in the end, but I suggest guests ask the hotel staff for advice about an easier return journey.

Pros:

Easy to get tuktuk, great local restaurant next door. Nice pool and gym. Helpful man on front desk arranged transfer for us). Very comfortable accommodation

Cons:

Noise during the night from local temple and neighbour's phone. (Not fault of hotel)
