my little girl left her stuff toy in the hotel room, they are kind enough to send it back home thru LBC, maybe thats their way of making up to us after all the things that happened. of coursed i paid the shipping fee
1st day- the room i booked was not the room prepared. it took sometime to get the room that i wanted. aircon does not cool fast. it took 1 hour to cool. 2 “new” staff doesnt know how to operate the aircon, even doesnt know what number to dial to call for help at the front desk. At dinner, another “new” staff mentioned the chicken we will order is 1 whole but it arrived in a very small plate with 4 slices.
2nd day- room run out of shampoo. no other options for fruits at breakfast. front desk also called and said i need to pay additional 400 per night for my 9 year old child as their hotel policy. At night between 10-11pm, the worst experience happened, a staff opened our room with 2 other tourist. they said they didnt know that the room was occupied!!!! and they just want the to 2 foreigners to see how the hotel rooms looks like and they used the masterkey of the hotel! super scary, how can they do that to their guest.
3rd night- we came back and found the room floor wet from leaking aircon. hotel manager aware of everything, gave my husband 1500 voucher that can be used in their restaurant
4th day- we are so tired so we decided to use the voucher and eat dinner at their resto, then we discovered almost all dishes are in small servings especially the 500+ pesos salmon in a very small slice, serving plates are big but the food are very small, only the carrots and cabbage makes the dish look big! menu shown in the tablet is quite tricky, sizes are big in the picture, staff said it is good for 2-3 pax but i think it is just for 2 pax. it is really quite small. taste is fair
The only positive things we can say about this hotel are the location, the internet connection, and the restaurant (Café Bien), which had good food and friendly service. Unfortunately, everything else was deeply disappointing and stressful.
This was the first time we've ever had so much trouble with a hotel, and it genuinely ruined our vacation.
When we arrived, the room was clearly not cleaned properly. The floor was dirty, and furniture was covered in dust. Then, around 6 AM, we were woken up by an unbearable noise coming from outside, likely from the kitchen area. Even with the window closed, a sound meter showed nearly 95 decibels. The staff explained us it was the kitchen exhaust right next to our window and offered to switch it off for a time.
However, the worst part came when we realized we had been bitten by bed bugs. Our bodies were covered in red, itchy bites. At that point, we had no choice but to find another hotel and move out on the same day.
We contacted Booking to help with a refund, since the hotel required full payment at check-in. Booking mediated an agreement with the hotel that we would be refunded for the unused nights. But after that, the hotel ignored our messages, and we had to go there in person. There, they put extra costs on us for the transfer, but first they claimed that they couldn’t do a refund because the bank was closed, and kept making up excuses for almost 2hours.
After digging through online reviews, we discovered that other guests on Trip.com had also complained about bed bugs and dirty rooms. When we booked the hotel in March, the rating was over 8. By May, it had dropped to 6.7.
Staff friendly and helpful.. good breakfast..near to shopping mall..( although mall was very small) good resurants in walking distance... close to the port also..
