Shocking discovery.
Pros:

I appreciate that Booking.com reimbursed me the entire cost of my reservation within five days of my cancellation.

Cons:

Firstly, the "lodge" is situated in the dodgiest, filthiest part of Parow. It is situated above a group of dilapidated shops and the lodge itself is decrepit. The place gives off brothel vibes. At reception there's a hand written page sellotaped on the counter stating hourly rates for their rooms.

A tired looking and uninterested receptionist who couldn't even bother faking a smile was the first person I encountered as well as a dishevelled "cleaner" collecting threadbare sheets from a room across the reception area.

While waiting for the receptionist to confirm my booking via booking.com I went into a room opposite the waiting area to check it out and that's how I knew that there was no way in hell I would be sleeping there.

Old dusty furniture, a worn out duvet and a threadbare discoloured sheet covered the bed. The noise coming from the music from the tavern downstairs and its patrons filled the room. I made a U-turn right there and told the unconcerned receptionist that I'm cancelling my booking and left.

The fact that I cancelled my booking before hand and they did not refund me.. I told them that the place advertised was misleading as it was in the ghetto and unsafe and I could not stay there as the pics show only the inside of the rooms and not the area or the outside pics of the place.. When I called to get the Adress before even going there feom the airport it was Nigerian guy who answered and said that it's next to a spaza shop.. Till today I did not get my deposit back or eve a portion of it and no one called me back after I complained 1

I can't recommend it to anyone else.
Pros:

I didn't even sleep there.I need my money back.
The pictures you sent me were totally different.the bed, pedestal was broken,TV not working.no toilet rolls in the bathroom.I have taken pictures of the hotel.It was very bad for 3 stars

The place is very dirty, they dont clean it and it smells awful. One morning I woke up to a bug crawling on the sheets. Furniture was broken and torn, sheets were dirty. Worst experience!!!

Worst I've ever seen

3.Dirty linen with flies flying over the dirty spots
4. Dodgy neighborhood
5. Unprofessionally looking staff, looking disorganized and not presentable.
6. Area gave off one night stand vibes, like where people just meet for one night stands. It had that kind of energy.
