On Check-In a pre-authorization will be required for an incidentals.
The hotel is also pleased to welcome PETs in designated rooms, subject to availability. Pet policy: only 1 pet per room allowed, cost is £35.00 per pet per day. Damages preauthorization will be required.

Cost of the room was good, the room was clean.
Parking was an additional £10 which we did not know about. Should be included in the price. The room was unbearably hot and the fan in the room was woefully inadequate, we probably only got a couple of hours sleep.

The cooked breakfast was not great ! Bacon horrible and the scrambled egg !! Was worse .
Perfect place to stay ahead of an early flight from Gatwick which is only 10 minutes drive away.

A lift inside would have been useful..BUT staff will help you carry your bags up the stairs at Check-In.
It is a historic building after all,..so putting in a customer lift would be difficult and expensive.

Having to pay for parking.
I need to work in the area every week and asked if I could book at reception with a discount rate. But they said I had to go through the website. I would be staying every week at the hotel, but they didn’t seem interested booking me in with a discounted rate.
Room was very big and comfortable
Bathroom ceiling had a leak coming through and the smell from that was quite bad
