The food, however, is a different matter. One should not have to ask staff if they provide a vegetarian option for breakfast, it should already be available and the fish should not taste like something out of a box. Not when you're paying the prices asked. Also, would it hurt to have more than just tea and coffee in the rooms. Even premier inn supplies hot chocolate and biscuits
Stayed here a couple of times before. Rooms are 100% fine, comfortable and clean. Lovely building, and nice grounds. Food was fine.
Refurbishments to the bar area make it look a little 'garden shed' rather than chic and the the lighting was too stark. In fact the lighting throughour was so bright that the temporary dining room (due to a function) had the feel of a school canteen, especially as tables were not even dressed with linen. Staffing is not quite as attentive as needed; probably too few staff for the number of guests.

The lift was not working but they changed our room for one on the ground floor so all good in the end.

Lift out of order, When checking out didn't get an invoice until i got home (email) i was charged for two breakfasts only had One a week on still not resolved BEWARE

There was an event in the hotel. They had put non event guests in the rooms above the event venue. No idea why, there were many event guests staying. It was unbelievably loud and there was disturbance until at least 1.00am. We had booked rooms to rest between a flight and a long drive and were completely shattered. Massive waste of money

me and my partner paid a lot for the junior suite but we didn't have a fridge to put our drinks.
I booked a room with an accessible bathroom for 1 person. The that I was given had 2 single beds in. The room was also cold. The set up was very uncomfortable.
The hotel was a beautiful country house set in well kept grounds with views over the Surrey hills. Our roim was gorgeous with a fab 4 poster bed which was extremely comfirtable. The staff were without exception excellent. Another plus was the dog friendly attitude; my dog was thoroughly spoilt. Food was very good as well.
