I wish I would be able to choose something but unfortunately I cannot due to my very short stay due to being kicked out at 5 am due to me having a 2 month old 2 year old 4 year old children. I was shocked!
I didn’t like that not even being there a full hour and checking in at roughly 1:30 am due to a long commute from northern Washington . My youngest child 2 month old . Was being a 2 month old and was crying. Mind you we got a apartment room due to us having kids and understanding children will be children and we wanted to make sure it wasn’t a regular hotel room cause we all know kids can be loud and infants cry. Our 2 month old was crying and we got a complaint . A threatening one. I let the front desk know hey it’s out infant and we apologize . They didn’t care he said if he got one more complaint in the cryimg he was gonna have to kick us out. We were shocked . Next thing you know security is knocking on our door telling me and my family mind you my wife and extremely young children we have to leave due to our infant crying. My wife tried to reason with the guy letting him know we drove a very long way we have small children and our newborn is crying . The MARK SPENCER /WASHINGTON PLAZA could care less. Around 5:30 6 am we were kicked out. With our young kids due to a Karen complaining about an infant crying. I couldn’t believe it. So my family wasn’t important enough or “white” enough to be allowed to stay due to 1 person complaining about a infant . They didn’t even refund us our money and we hadn’t been there 6 hours. We had to sleep in a car until we were able to get a room the next day. This place has no respect for families they throw u out like trash for a Karen who couldn’t deal with a little noise from a infant.
Nothing, overpriced
I did not like the place , it was overpriced for the apartment and the service
Great facility. Cleanliness. Good kitchen with clean kitchenettes.
Initial hiccups related to plaza entry. Clear instructions would have helped.
Quiet place.
Had difficulty with key code for building access
Street noise . Needed noise canceling headphones the whole time. Portable
a/c exhaust was sloppily installed so window couldn’t be correctly closed to protect from traffic, people and machinery.
I loved the location and the price was worth it for a full kitchen and two beds. Near some amazing restaurants and stores, and other bus stops to take you around the city. Also, was very easy to get to from the airport using public transportation. Amazing place and loved the trip!
The bed was super comfortable, it was nice having a kitchen, and the hotel is in an excellent location with lots of good restaurants and stores. The renowned Powell Books is only 2 blocks away. It is a short 2 block walk to catch the light rail to the airport. The locked courtyard adds a nice level of safety. While not the fanciest accomodstion, it is an excellent value when considering its prime Portland location. I would definitely stay again.
In the middle of everything. Spacious room and easy check inn in the hotel around the corner, because the Washington plaza has no reception. A bit old school style. Safe area.
Carpet and could be cleaner.
It was unexpected
The area
Location was great, staff was great and easy to get in and out of this hotel. Private gated entrance and complicated. A kitchenette is awesome.
Only complaint is it wasn't as clean as I'd like. Not terribly bad but noticeable and I felt the need to give it a wipe. Otherwise, good price, location and staff.
The price
The fact that they demagnetized my cards, I was the victim of domestic violence, I left my room and came back and cards will not allow me to access my hotel room. I was told the cards were the magnetized, but the same two cards allowed me to enter the property and access the elevator. I was told to wait at my door, they would bring me new key cards. I went to the front desk and got them within five minutes and returning. They were police at my door at 3 o’clock in the morning I guess police randomly knock on your hotel room on the fifth floor or is it that the mark Spencer called the police on me and I’m the victim they blocked my access to my room. I paid for then told me oh wait at my door and which, if I did, then I would have to interact with the police. Don’t stay here if you’d like a fair shake. For the simple fact that I’m a regular person, not a rich person that chose to stay at the mark Spencer where they don’t treat you equal
