Not much to like really. This place is as basic as it comes, not up to international standards unless you are a hardcore backpacker maybe. Even when I was a backpacker I would have been disappointed by this place. The rooms on stilts are shaky and you can hear everything (and I mean everything) from your neighbors.
Location was good.
Too many restrictions from the property manager/owner/staff..
Before one day property management contacted me and said there is maintanence work is going on so we can't accommodate you. so if you have maintenance work going on how can you accept booking.
We got very bad experience from Curly woods. They cancelled our booking around 12pm on the day we were supposed to stay there. The reason they said due to some maintenance at the property. They arranged a different property which was far away from Thekkady and we had to adjust with that. We faced pathetic experience from the other stay as they were not even have a geyser and the room and bathroom were very dirty. Thete were snails roaming around the bathroom.
