Since it is necessaary to safe water and electricity in the island ,cleaning of the units will only take every other day ... but if you required every day you need to let us know with priore time ( with no cost).Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. In der Nacht war es ruhig, einzig am Morgen gab es Motorenlärm - aber dafür kann das Casa del Lago nix.
So nice vibes, good breakfast, and sweet personal.
Die Gastgeberin Elena war hervorragend und sehr hilfsbereit. Die Koordination mit dem Taxifahrer lief hervorragend. Eine sehr komfortable Unterkunft in toller Lage. Das Frühstück ist toll und vielseitig.
Leider war es teilweise etwas lauter, da direkt nebenan eine viel befahrene Straße liegt
Die Lage ist sehr gut.
Die Vermieterin, Elena, ist immer hilfsbereit.
Es wurde täglich gereinigt und alle 2 Tage gab es neue Handtücher.
Die Ausstattung der Küche könnte etwas besser sein. Teller und ein Flaschenöffner fehlten.

The hotel is beautiful and surrounded by flowers. My room was clean and comfortable! The hostess was so helpful to me and spoke perfect English, which made communication a lot easier! She helped me with so many things including providing information about the area and interesting things to do while in Puerto Ayora. I had a fabulous time here and highly recommend!
Is a very nice and comfortable boutique hotel. Every room have small patio, design is unique, its surrounded by plats, so you can feal like in a garden. Owner is very helpful ans knowledgeable. Is quité and peaceful spot.
The place is a piece of art. 30 years of details, Flowers and upcycling.
One of the most beautiful places that i saw. And the Host is very friendly too. You cannot be disappointed
We staid only one night
Casa del Lago Lodging House was a dream come true! We wanted an authentic experience and Elena, our host provided just that! We arrived around 13:00 on 12/30 with 3 excursions previously canceled from Viator. With no plans, Elana asked if we could be ready to go in 30 minutes. We jumped on that and were soon whisked away by Marcelo, to a beautiful lava tube and a natural tortoise preserve in the highlands on Isla Santa Cruz in Puerto Ayora. No need for prior on line booking which would have cost much more. That night we ate at a Peruvian restaurant, Nazca Esencia. NYD we learned at the Charles Darwin museum, just walking distance away, then explored Tortuga Bay, an amazing hike 15 minutes from the lodge, a mile in and out through mangrove and cactus forest. Elana is so welcoming, intuitive and knowledgeable of her island and country.
She loves and believes in the importance of preservation, ecology and history.
This country and its people take great care of the importance of life and its origins.

Elena is a fabulous hostess and was able to help us get wonderful tours of things to see on tge island of Santa Cruz.
Not her fault as there was construction on her street - so and adventure to get to her place. So once that's done ( which is soon) it is a peaceful place to enjoy the Galapagos from.
This place was a highlight of our trip! Elena was incredible and we got to chat about her life on the island and her time living in the U.S. The rooms are so beautiful, and the whole place feels really private despite being pretty close to the "action." The air conditioning in the room was a godsend, especially after I came down with a fever and had to spend time convalescing in the very comfortable bed. We were genuinely sad to leave after a few days.
The check-in made us a little worried, as we couldn't find anyone to get keys from when we arrived for ten or twenty minutes. But after Elena arrived, she gave us her number and was consistently available whenever we needed her after that. Also, make sure to verify opening/closing times of any attractions as information changes quickly and any advice you get may be outdated.
Excellent location close to the port and the city center.
Nice apartment with small kitchen.
Good bed for my not-always-so-good lower back.
