Smoking on site will incur an additional fee of USD 500.

All reservations require a valid credit card for booking. An incidental deposit of up to $100 per day is collected at check-in and refunded within 7 days, subject to property inspection. If the hotel is fully committed, 1 night room/tax will be authorized to guarantee your reservation. If this is an advanced purchase booking, all payment will be taken prior to arrival.

Items shipped to the Hotel should be addressed: Attention – Operations Manager, The Gregorian Hotel, 42 W 35TH Street, New York, New York 10001 including the registered guest’s name. The Gregorian Hotel is not responsible for damages or loss of items delivered to the Hotel prior to arrival, or of any items or packages left on property after departure. Upon request, items left on premises after departure will be returned to the customer at the customer’s expense. The cost of the first package is included in the facility fee, anything after is subject to a charge of between $10 and $40.

The Gregorian is committed to providing its guests and associates with a smoke free environment. Smoking tobacco, pipes, vapes, e-cigarets and marijuana is strictly prohibited within the hotel. By booking through this website, you acknowledge that the hotel has installed smoking detection sensors in its rooms. These sensors enable hotel management to respond to smoking events without disrupting your stay. You hereby agree and consent to the use of such sensor in your room and acknowledge and agree that it is 100% privacy compliant and required by the hotel to ensure a smoke-free stay for all guests. By acknowledging the foregoing, you agree to waive any future claims related to the presence of the sensor in a room you may book. Tampering with the sensor is strictly prohibited.Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. You get what you pay for.

The front check-in and bell staff were very friendly.

Cons:

The rooms were not cleaned very well at all. Hairs belonging to other previous guests will still visible on the bathroom counter and floor. The Bedside table was dirty with brown coffee (?) stains all along the side. The bathtub was also not cleaned very well. Each day, cleaning service only consisted of fresh towels and the bed being made. No vacauuming or cleaning of the floors or countertops. And the Windows were so thin. The noise level in the evening was ridiculous. You could even hear loud conversations from the street. Windows are not insulated at all, and it’s impossible to get a good night’s rest.

well-located base with a comfortable bed, it does the job.
Pros:

Overall, the hotel was fine and the location is definitely one of its biggest strengths. It’s very central (although the area is extremely busy) and only a short walk from the subway, which made getting around New York really easy. The bed was large and comfortable, and the room itself felt surprisingly spacious for Manhattan.

Cons:

Unfortunately, there were a few issues that let the stay down. The TV continually reset itself and rarely worked properly. The room door also shook and rattled whenever anyone walked past, although maintenance did fix this after the first night.

The biggest disappointment was the bathroom. It was incredibly small, and the bathtub/shower felt very poor quality. It appeared to be a plastic insert that wasn’t properly secured, so it moved under your feet while showering, almost like standing on a waterbed. It felt slippery, unstable and very cheap.

It’s also worth noting that there’s no restaurant in the hotel, so there’s no room service or breakfast available. That’s not necessarily a dealbreaker given the location and the number of cafés nearby, but it’s something to be aware of before booking.

A perfect stay for mid town Manhattan
Pros:

The location was one of the key features — close to everything and yet out of the city noise. The hotel was clean and the staff extremely helpful and friendly.

Perfect location, very comfortable beds and staff were great

Cons:

Breakfast was not worth purchasing via booking.com because all you get is a voucher to by a small pastry and one coffee or fruit juice from a cafe the other side of the road. Just stay in hotel and sort your own breakfast.

Great property, terrible view from the room.
Pros:

Great location, wonderful staff, good size room for NY, comfortable bed. They even give you water bottles in the room. There is a lot to like here. And it is really conveniently located.

Cons:

The view from my room was the worst I have ever had. Even for NY it was a terrible view (see pics). Low floors have little natural light and bad views.
