WOULD BOOK AGAIN

STAFF SUPER FRIENDLY AND EXTREMELY HELPFUL. HOTEL WAS VERY CLEAN AND WELL RUN. BREAKFAST SUPERB

Cosy, warm hotel in Grindelwald.
Pros:

For those that prefer smaller, friendly, family owned and run hotels, Caprice is perfect. The staff were efficient and very helpful. A daily news bulletin was provided every morning at breakfast which included weather forecasts, snow reports for skiers and suggestions for places to visit or local activities. Not forgetting the sauna, steam room and jacuzzi!

A bonus for me was its close proximity to Grindelwald train station. A guestcard gave free use of buses 121, 122 and 123 which gave access to ski lifts to First, Männlichen and the Eiger Express up to Eiger Gletscher and Kleine Scheidigg.

The view of the Eiger was wonderful. My room faced west, looking towards the Männlichen mountain (see uploaded photo).

Centrally located family owned hotel. Loved it!
Pros:

Very central location close to bus and train station as well as restaurants and rentals. Amazing breakfast. New room in typical Alpine style. Nee and beautiful SPA. Possibility to buy skipass there

Sehr symphatisches, familiengeführtes Hotel in zentraler aber ruhiger Lage.
Pros:

Sehr freundliche Atmosphäre, aufmerksamer Service. Sehr familiär. Sehr gutes Frühstücksbuffet. Schöner Blick aus dem Frühstücksraum auf die Eiger Nordwand. Sehr ansprechender und sauberer Wellnessbereich.

Gemütliche Wohlfühloase mit Blick auf den Eiger
Pros:

Tolle Lage, nur 4 Minuten zu Fuss vom Bahnhof. Gemütliche Zimmer, leckeres Frühstück mit diversen Broten, freundliches Personal. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt.

Pros:

Für uns war es perfekt. Unser Zimmer war klein aber mega schön eingerichtet, mit einem grossen Bad und wir haben uns mega wohl gefühlt. Alles sehr sauber, bequeme Matratzen, Wasser auf dem Zimmer, gute Verdunklung, super Frühstück mit toller Aussicht auf die Eigernordwand. Was will man mehr.

Cons:

Die Anfahrt zum Hotel ist eng und recht eisig. Da war auch gutes Schuhwerk und Vorsicht erforderlich um ohne Sturz ins Dorf zu kommen. Es wurde aber vorher kommuniziert dass sie Zufahrt recht steil ist.

Sehr empfehlenswert / Highly recommended.
Pros:

Sehr nettes Personal und sehr herzliche und freundliche Gastgeber. Das Morgenessen war abwechslungsreich und lecker mit einer Auswahl an diversen frischen Broten und anderen Köstlichkeiten.
Auch der Spa-Bereich ist sehr zu empfehlen.
Alles war extrem sauber und gepflegt.

Absolut empfehlenswert / Highly recommended 👌

Cons:

Das Einzige was man (je nach Bedarf der Gäste) anpassen könnte, ist das Frühstück ab 07:30 Uhr.
Da die Bahnen zum Skifahren bereits um 08:00 Uhr öffnen, wäre es vorteilhafter wenn es bereits um 07:00 Uhr Frühstück gäbe.

Perfect location for your stay at Grindelwald
Pros:

The rooms are extremely clean and also spacious. The breakfast was great and the hosts are very attentive. The location is excellent with the train station only 3 minutes walking.
