Very pleasant and restful.
Pros:

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We were shown to our room and every aspect was explained. The ambiance of the hotel was warm and period splendour, especially the staircase. We were intriged by the billiard room and there was a piano to play if I had the skill. There are many original features to this property, possibly Belle Epoch. The evening meal was 4 course, no choice but of excellent quality and good value. There was an extensive wine list. Breakfast was served from 7.15 and offered a wide range of cheese, meats, hardboiled eggs, yogurt, pastries, fruit flans, fruit salad, cereals, tea or coffee. We would recommend this hotel to friends.

Cons:

The croisant we had for breakfast were not up to the standard of the meal the previous night.
