Sad let down from a beautiful location.
Pros:

The decor of the room, the location of the hotel.

Cons:

Room not secure, the ground floor window was not lockable. Blinds missing from the window, terrestrial tv not available. Sadly it appears the facilities were not acceptable. Check in was poor, waiting for people ordering food and drink. No designated check in area.

Lovely stay
Pros:

The pub has a lovely warm cosy feel with the open fires, the food is tasty and excellent value for money. I stayed 2 nights, the room was small but there was only me and the dog so not an issue but the decor was home, warm and inviting. I work at a Doubletree by Hilton and this room was far nicer. I will definitely stay here again.

Superbe établissement avec une partie Pub authentique et des chambres moderne qui reste dans l’esprit du lieu. Petit déjeuné et restaurant très bon. Une excellente adresse.

Disappointing will not return. Manager did his best. We wanted to contact the owner but couldn’t !

Breakfast was ok nothing special.

Cons:

The stench of sewage in our en-suite bathroom was overpowering. Bath was stained and no bath products eg bubble bath or soap. Floors in breakfast room not swept leaves on floors. Chipped paintwork on stairs. Our “suite” only had 2 chairs and v small coffee table it wasn’t a suite ! Car park very muddy with puddles not surfaced and very short of space for guest parking.

Lovely comfortable hotel.
Pros:

Excellent rooms. Had to change the booking when one of the party couldn't attend. Lovely evening meal with great music.
It was not a problem when we had to leave very early.

Cons:

Nothing everything was excellent.

Really friendly pub with original features and lovely open fires. Food was excellent!
Bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. Will definitely be returning.

Pros:

What a fabulous pub. Lots of small old warm quirky rooms. Fabulous beer, excellent food. Our room was large, warm and very comfortable. Breakfast was good, a good balance of served food and self service.

Cons:

Staff very busy ( not their fault) bordering on stressed at times. Very very busy for a monday night in October, but on the Pennine Way so understandable. Warning. The falls are open 10am to 5pm. We arrived too late and left too early so didn't get to see them
