Perfect stop for Roman Mines on Camino Invierno

Perfect stop on the alternative route from Borrenes on the Camino invierno. 2 hour hike from here to the UNESCO world heritage site at the Mirador de Orellan.

Pros:

De omgeving was super. In de buurt van Las Medulas. Het dorpje is klein en er wonen 12 mensen. Helaas was er in de avond geen avond eten, omdat de eigenaren er niet waren. Dus zelf een boterham meenemen, want in het dorpje is niks

Cons:

De kamer was een beetje klein. Helaas hadden we een twee persoonsbed, was ook niet al te groot. Beter twee bedden reserveren

Schönes Landhotel am Rande der Medulas
Pros:

Schönes, kleines Landhotel, das Restaurant war in einer alten Weinpresse untergebracht, unser Zimmer hatte einen schönen Balkon mit Blick auf die Landschaft. Alles sehr originell und liebevoll gestaltet. Die Besitzer waren sehr nett, die frisch zubereiteten Speisen am Abend ausgezeichnet. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wunderschön renoviertes Bauernhaus in der Nähe der Médulas
Pros:

Das alte Haus wurde sorgfältig und authentisch renoviert und eingerichtet. Es ist wirklich sehr gut gelungen, das Bestehende mit modernen Elementen zu ergänzen und das ganze Haus wirkt sehr einladend und harmonisch.
Auf Anmeldung kann dort auch am Abend gegessen werden. Im Dorf selber gibt es kein Restaurant, aber in der Umgebung.
Die Besitzerin und ihr Ehemann sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Cons:

Im Badezimmer könnte es ein paar Haken und Ablagemöglichkeiten mehr geben (wie in vielen Hotel-Badezimmern). Schön wäre auch ein paar bequeme (Liege)stühle zum draussen sitzen. Wenn man auf dem Land wohnt, sitzt man auch gerne draussen, um die Ruhe zu geniessen..
Das ist aber jammern auf hohem Niveau, ansonsten ist das Haus wirklich sehr empfehlenswert und die Preis/Leistung top.
