This was a truly unique experience. If you are looking for a touch of the past, breathtaking nature, and the comfort of feeling at home, you should definitely choose Dar Tantora.

I would especially like to mention Abu Bekr and Ali, whose warm welcome made us feel truly special. They were always there to guide and assist us, and their kindness and genuine warmth made our stay even more memorable.

We are very grateful to them for everything and hope to return again one day.

Dar Tantora The House Hotel isn't just a beautiful hotel. It's literally the restored 800-year-old homes of the former inhabitants of AlUla. It makes you feel part of this history and transported back in time.

Everything here is amazing—the beautiful decor, the wonderful aroma of bakhour, the delicious food, and all the wonderful staff. We fell in love with both the place and the people.

We were here for six days and were sad to leave. It's impossible to describe—it simply has to be experienced.

Thank you so much for your kindness, care, and the warmth you gave us: the front office manager, Mr. Hamza Alghamdi, Ali, Ibrahim, Aboubakar, Saleh, Naif, Muhammad Samih, Mohammed Albalawi, Shahinur, Kevin, Hassan, and all the others we haven't mentioned.

We also thank the wonderful Blessie at the spa for the wonderful massages.

Everything…the ornate rooms; the attentive staff, the facilities, including the pool, the gym and the restaurant…all exceeded my expectations!

All was amazing

Then the incense reached us lightly—as if the air had been misspelled and someone had finally inserted the missing letter with the peculiar authority that seemed to correct the very air around us. We turned and finally noticed the hotel—or rather, it felt as though it had chosen that exact moment to reveal itself. She stopped, and I stopped because she did.

The door was open and I thought: if this is the threshold to Arabia Eudaimon, the legendary blessed south, whatever lies beyond justifies every blister, every silence, every morning I doubted our route. If the door to Arabia Felix is this beautiful, perhaps the place deserves the name. This town alone would have justified the journey—the quiet humiliation of everyone who arrives too tired to defend themselves against beauty.

We stepped inside with the half-shame of accidentally entering a sacred place. Every stone, beam, and shadow was placed with deliberate care, and within it moved people of such improbable beauty that literature seemed suddenly provincial. Their beauty was not ornamental but structural, and because it altered the atmosphere, one felt the world briefly improved.

For an uncounted number of days, we stayed. We slept in, allowing our bodies to forgive us for being bodies. Outside our window, the oasis performed its ancient trick, making survival look like sheer generosity—palms, birdsong, the irrigation of a patience older than any empire that tried to tax it. We understood then how sober men had exaggerated for millennia; its beauty made ordinary accuracy feel miserly.

The morning we left, she closed the door with the care of someone closing a book she intends to reread. And because beauty always contains the seed of sorrow, morning brought sadness with a precision almost indecent. I understood then that this wasn't grief—grief is for things that end.

The service was exceptional. From the pre-arrival engagement via WhatsApp, to the arrival on site, the butler Bashir, who explained everything and showed us the way. The food (dinner and breakfast) at Joontos was just amazing and the service team very attentive. We further more appreciated the upgrade of the room.
