Location was great! 5 min walk to Dotonbori. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and had necessary amenities.
The lift and the room were very small without much room to move. We booked a queen bed but the bed was only two twin beds put together, so there was a hard section in the middle of the bed where they met, which was uncomfortable.
The room itself was nice. Big comfy bed (although it's two separate mattresses so we needed to re-combine every day), really-really great shower/bathroom area in general. Clean. Soundproofed. Nice view. Maybe a 10-min walk from the metro(s), less than 5 to a Lawsons/Family Mart, and a 15-20-min walk into Dotonbori. They also let us keep our bags there before check-in.
The staff were very, very strict with check-in times - which I get, however, the hotel was deff not at full capacity, 4pm is a late check-in, and we were only two hours early (and exhausted after a long trip). I think they needed English-speaking staff to do the process? But still. Would have been a nice touch. I think we were spoiled by our hotel in Tokyo, but the staff/hotel vibe in general was very clinical/impersonal. They also only have one lift and many floors (we were on 11) so it took some time to get up and down. Overall, it was all fine and nothing huge to complain about.
It is in a good location. about 7mins walk to 4 train lines.
It seems like the hotel is being used by locals as a “hostel”. Every time we pass by the lobby, there’s a couple just leaving their key card in the front desk and just go their separate ways once they get out of the hotel lobby. it’s not ideal for us as we have our young daughter with us.
does not look like the pictures. place was a little dirty
Kind of close to train
The place was very underwhelming. there are towels literally everywhere in the hotel. On the floor in the lobby, in the hallways, by the elevator, it’s like they have no storage for towels and just keep it everywhere it looks like a junkyard. The mattresses are super hard. Every room smells like smoke had to switch two times. Elevator is super slow and carpets are dirty. They try and get money for everything. Example: if you lose the keycard you pay 5,000 yen (I didn’t lose it but really excessive) check out is super early compared to other hotels. The hotel is really just far from decent. Might as well call it a step above a motel. the mattress is very dirty and gross as well. I felt ripped off, the pictures are a scam.
