Dear Booking.com Customer Service,
I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with the experience my daughter and I had during our recent stay at Hotel Blessings in New Delhi, booked through your platform. Our reservation was for February 24th to 25th, 2025, intended to provide a conducive environment for my daughter to prepare for her final year DNB practical exam. Upon our arrival at the hotel at the designated check-in time of 11:00 AM, we were informed that our room was not available. Despite our repeated inquiries and the critical nature of our visit, we were made to wait until approximately 3:00 to 4:00 PM before being assigned a room. This significant delay severely disrupted our plans and added undue stress during already challenging time. The behaviour of the hotel staff, particularly an elderly gentleman at the counter, was highly unprofessional and discourteous. He demanded our identification documents upfront, insinuated that we might seek accommodation elsewhere, and insisted on advance payment before even allowing us to sign the booking register. Such treatment is unacceptable and falls far below the standards we expect when booking through a reputable platform like Booking.com.When we were finally given a room on the third floor, it was a three-bedded accommodation situated next to an exhaust fan from an adjacent hotel's kitchen, emitting unpleasant odors. After raising this issue, we were moved to two separate rooms on the second floor. The actual rate of Rs 2,000 per night for the room provided to us, yet we were charged Rs 6,000 plus 12% GST as per the Booking.com rate. Including our food bill, the total amounted to Rs 7,377. Considering the numerous inconveniences we faced, I requested a concession to Rs 7,000, to which the hotel initially agreed . I transferred this amount online. However, upon receipt, the staff's demeanor changed abruptly & they demanded the remaining Rs 377 with undue aggression creating a distressing scene
This entire experience has left us deeply disappointed with both Hotel Blessings and Booking.com. As a platform facilitating such bookings, I believe it is your responsibility to ensure that your listed properties adhere to basic standards of hospitality and customer service. I urge you to address this matter promptly, ensuring that future guests do not endure similar hardships.
I also request a refund of the Rs-2000., which I had to pay under duress, (the actual Room charge is Rs 2000.00x2=4000.00 but they have taken Rs -6000.00) to be processed to my PhonePay or GPay number: 9338108837.
