The room was very clean and staff friendly and helpful
The room was very hot even with the heating off so we didn’t sleep great
good food in restaurant though a little expensive ambience ok
Only one chair in room needed 2
No plug in vanity unit sink in bathroom
Lack of wardrobe even though room for one
Breakfast cold on first day
The staff were all excellent, helpful and friendly.
The food was exceptional.
The room was lovely. The upgrade unexpected but a bonus.
Nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely visit again.
Everything was perfect
Great location. Decor was very modern and refreshing, loved it.
Nothing
The room was truly stunning! & Despite being located near the bar, it was so quiet. The breakfast was refined and very tasty. Stayed for a wedding with my partner - stunning location for the day - and we felt very comfortable and happy with the hotel in every way.
We really did like our experience - no negative feedback.
The people - everyone was really lovely - you feel as if you are important to each member of staff - that they want to make sure that your stay is the best it can be.
The rooms - they are all different and beautifully appointed. It’s not like staying at an impersonal chain hotel.
The surroundings - the grounds are extensive and beautifully kept. Lovely walks just around the hotel area.
Nothing!
Didn't get the benefit of our room went for a wedding checked in 2.30 left room 3.30 came back at 12.00 o'clock to go to bed out in morning at 9 a m to go for breakfast
- fantastic lakeside cabin which are very modern and clean. Lovely view out onto the water with lots of wildlife to observe.
- The room was well equipped with hair dryer and clothes steamer as well as plenty tea and coffee with a coffee machine. A lovely dressing area behind the bed. All furnishings are to a high standard with push to open drawers and in built lights.
- room was extremely quiet, couldn’t hear the adjoining room at all. It felt very private.
- comfy bed with good quality linen.
- all staff were super friendly and helpful when needed.
A few points to make and being picky as room was lovely and so is the Tempus building itself.
- breakfast included but eggs Benedict / royale were a hefty supplement.
- room had a smart TV but internet access disabled on it so couldn’t cast phone unless it was a Samsung and not able to watch on apps such as Netflix.
- parking was available for lakeside cabins but is a bit makeshift and you can’t fit a car each if people don’t park well.
- shower flooded easily, soaking the bath mat.
Set in beautiful location the food is outstanding !!!
Be careful booking a farm cottage as it says no dogs allowed that's only for the upstairs room. The downstairs room had a dog that was yapping constantly. After speaking to staff we did get moved and enjoyed the rest of the weekend.
Charlton Hall was magnificent.
Stunning interior, stylish quirky
Beautiful setting and the restaurant was incredible.
The Restaurant
Wasn’t aware that some cottages had another room above.
