A perfect place to relax and enjoy .
Pros:

The Peat Inn is a gem. Due to a family bereavement we were going to be late for our check in and dinner reservation but the receptionist could not have been more helpful and moved our dinner to a later time. The rooms and bathroom were lovely and everything was spotlessly clean. The food and service was amazing. Though it is expensive I still feel it is worth the extra money and is a perfect base for visiting Fife.

Cons:

Everything was perfect. The only thing that I wasn't keen on was that breakfast was served in your room. This almost put me off booking but in fact it wasn't as difficult as anticipated as the rooms are set up with a small dining table and the food was delicious.

Muffig!!! Ich würde es nicht mehr buchen.
Pros:

Praktisch war, dass man gut davor parken konnte und die Räume hatten durch das 2-stöckige Konzept etwas Großzügiges, wobei an sich sowohl EG (Bett und Bad) und OG (Tisch und Sofa/ TV) nicht besonders groß waren und die Treppe nicht besonders gut zu gehen war. Das Frühstück ist im Zimmer oben. Das ist witzig, weil es etwas von "Frühstück am Bett" hat, wäre da nicht... das Magen-Darm-Problem.

Cons:

Kaum Schrank, nur eine "Besenkammer" mit einer Kleiderstange, es wurde an allem gespart. Es war kalt und auch als wir wieder kamen, waren die Heizkörper wieder abgedreht, obwohl wir mit dem Personal darüber gesprochen hatten. Der Wasserdruck in der Dusche war so schwach, dass beim oberen Teller am höher gelegenen Punkt kein Wasser kommt. Der kleine Kühlschrank brummt. Weil das Zimmer muffig war, durften wir umziehen in ein etwas weniger muffiges Zimmer. Am Rand unter dem Fenster und darüber hinaus blättert die Farbe wegen Feuchtigkeit ab (wohlgemerkt im weniger muffigen Zimmer). Der Kühlschrank brummte in beiden Zimmern. Kaum Steckdosen, keine praktischen Lichtschalter, keine USB-Lademöglichkeit. Bäder und das Restaurant waren besonders muffig. Der Gipfel war, dass der Lachs vom Frühstück vielleicht schon nach dem ersten Frühstück nicht mehr gut war (Reaktion- Magendrücken und etwas Fieber). Am nächsten Tag war er vermutlich einen Tag älter und hat dem, der ihn aß und der normalerweise nie krank ist, komplett den Tag vermiest. Heftige Magenschmerzen, Übelkeit und Fieber waren das Ergebnis. Besuch der Apotheke nachts und Telefon mit dem Notdienst. Wir haben ansonsten nichts Unterschiedliches und auch nicht viel anderes "Verdächtiges" gegessen. Man weiß es natürlich nicht 100%, aber der Verdacht liegt sehr (!) nahe, dass die Kühlkette ein Problem gehabt haben könnte und dass es der Gravad-Lachs des Frühstücks war.

Komfortabler Aufenthalt mit einem außergewöhnliches Abendessen.
Pros:

Großzügige, ruhig gelegene, Zimmer (allerdings auf 2 Ebenen), Frühstück (Continental) wird im Zimmer serviert. Das Essen im Restaurant war großartig.

A lovely break from everyday routine with a great room and excellent food.
Pros:

The fact that the room was a duplex allowed us to enjoy our continental breakfast in the privacy of our room and this was something we had not experienced before.
The staff in the restaurant created a relaxed atmosphere where we enjoyed an excellent meal.

Cons:

The fact that you had to leave the comfort of the bedroom block to walk across to the restaurant.

Pros:

Breakfast was a great delight eating within your own room. The products were locally sourced, lovely and fresh. A very relaxed experience indeed. Staff were very welcoming and very knowledgeable, staff knew the menu in detail and shared their knowledge throughout your dining experience. Staff were very attentive throughout our dining experience and stay. Hopefully we will return someday.

The staff and food were exceptional. Polite, helpful and kind.
Pros:

Beautifully appointed and well resourced rooms with wonderful Arran Aromatics toiletries. Superb location to get to St Andrews and calm and well set out garden. Superb locally sourced food for breakfast and incredible evening meal in the restaurant. Natalie on the front desk was brilliant during the booking process and the morning staff who served breakfast were so incredibly friendly; it made the stay perfect.
