Beautifully appointed and well resourced rooms with wonderful Arran Aromatics toiletries. Superb location to get to St Andrews and calm and well set out garden. Superb locally sourced food for breakfast and incredible evening meal in the restaurant. Natalie on the front desk was brilliant during the booking process and the morning staff who served breakfast were so incredibly friendly; it made the stay perfect.

the staff were very very friendly a young team who were lovey. The bedroom / apartment was clean and comfortable with a nice continental breakfast served in out room in the morning, the gardens were well kept and pretty.
Each food course although good was served incredible quickly, just one after the other with little time in-between to enjoy. We felt that we were being rushed a little bit. We had an early table 7pm but I think we were finished by 815!!!
The wine list although extensive was not to everyone taste and dare I say a little pricey/markup for some of the wine selection. On checking- in to the room, the lower corridor to our room looked tired and in need of a paint/update (first impressions). There was a couple bits of blue-tac holding on a piece of plastic edge-guard at the doorway of first room me past. It was just the first thing I saw and thought oh dear what is the rest of it going to be like? however our room (Abercrombie) was very nice for our overnight stay
Extrem komfortabler, unkomplizierter Aufenthalt. Der Blick in den Garten (und dahinter Schafweide) war ein Traum. Ein Kopfpolster hat nicht gepasst und wurde sofort ausgetauscht
Eigentlich nichts, nur die Getränkepreise (Bier/Wein) sind recht hoch
Loved the room being on 2 floors. Good size. Breakfast delivered to the room - really delicious and well laid out. Modern and clean. The staff were friendly. Lovely gardens. The welcome brownies and the sherry were a nice touch.
Nothing.
Suite was beautiful with nice view onto the garden.

Clean and good size
The heat control didn’t seem to work properly
Continental breakfast to our room was perfect with a wide choice….separate lounge area with table and chairs so excellent for a cosy breakfast together.
Located only 15 mins drive from Elie ideal location for us visiting friends.
Easy to get to if you use a car. Small suites were well equipped and very comfortable. Breakfast is served in the suite from a limited but acceptable menu. Very convenient and comfortable way to do it. Superb dinner, very well presented by excellent staff.
Problem with the toilet that should have been taken care of before letting the room. Obvious need for some painting touch up of the decor that you would have thought would have been done during the winter quiet spell. Neither issue was expected for accommodation at this price level.
Beautiful location and the garden view is so lovely. Restaurant is the strong draw - food and service levels ( in the restaurant) are excellent
Place feels and look tired. Bedrooms in much need of a revamp and the bathroom smelt strongly of damp. Chipped grout, marks on door and walls etc Same in the bedrooms - it would not take much to touch up the paintwork and PLEASE add a few finishing touches that reflect the location - eg artwork from East Neuk. Not soulless prints on the wall that look as though they’ve been bought as a job lot for every bedroom. Service levels - no warm welcome - reception staff were standoffish. They did not engage other than to reprimand us for not handing in our breakfast order! And finally - put a bar in! Build some atmosphere- spot of background jazz, a bespoke Peat Inn cocktail. And some decent outside seating for a pre lunch or dinner drink. The garden is a little treasure. It’s not rocket science!! The entrance way of the restaurant is perfect for this - rather than being taken straight to your table. Think of the guest journey and not what you can get away with trading on your dining pedigree. To sum up needs a massive injection of personality and guest attentiveness across ALL touch points not just the food.
Well thought out beautiful apartments, lovely small touches such as bottled water, delicious chocolate brownies and port!

The room was spacious with a lovely design making use of a mezzanine style layout. Bed was very comfortable. Shower was great and the view over the countryside was lovely.
We also enjoyed the amazing restaurant as part of a birthday celebration and thought that the food was excellent, the setting fabulous and the staff were all amazing.
