Burley Road (Campus Accommodation)

Even though I was not expecting air conditioning for the price of the room, I at least thought I would be able to open the window to get some fresh air during the heat of Yorkshire's mid-summer nights, which unfortunately was not the case (you cannot open the window at all, not even a tiny bit). And on top of that, the room had some kind of heating system that I could not control (there is also a heater by the bed, but this one was off, as I double-checked myself).

Shower was disgusting

There was a slight smell of urine around the G block second floor.

Staff members attempted to enter the room a couple of times to check if it was empty. The walls were thin and the neighbours were noisy all night. Around midnight, doors were banging constantly for about 30 minutes, making it impossible to sleep. There was no bin in the room, only one towel provided for two people, and the bed was very small and uncomfortable.

Booking was made for 2 rooms for 3 adults, Staff were unable to provide a room upon arrival, when keys were provided they were for another individual’s room allowing us to enter the room with their belongings unsupervised, we returned to reception to inform them of this error, the 2nd room provided the door lock was not operational so unable to stay in the room provided, we had to wait in the room with a non functioning lock concerned about who may enter the room during this wait, we ended up going through 3 rooms before finally being provided with a room at 00:45 the morning after arrival missing a night that was paid for, the room provided was unclean, damp and smelt heavily of cannabis, no lighting in bathroom so unable to shower or use facilities and separated form our party with further concerns for safety as such.

The accommodation did not feel safe and was not secure, we had no other option then to stay at the property after arrival due to not being able to book another hotel at the late hour of being provided with a room, we explained the issue that morning and requested to cancel the 2nd day stay and be contacted to discuss reimbursement after having to book another property.

It was like a maze to find your room, the room was gutted the only things in there was a duvet and two pillows. There was only 1 towel for two guests. The bed was uncomfortable and mattress was thin.
There was no rubbish bin in the room or bathroom.
The bathroom had a very odd smell, and the toilet wouldn’t flush properly. The booking.com contact support was bad. Would take 8+ hours to respond and would give you completely wrong advice/ instructions. Best to just go talk to staff on site as the people you speak to are overseas.

It's a very basic room, and basic wet room bathroom. Much like Ibis Budget was 20 years ago.

Not very clean. Bad shower, uncomfortable bed. Thin walls so very loud. No bin, no tea/coffee facilities. Too expensive for what it was.

Ridiculous and tiresome registration requirements and amount of ID needed for each guest. I was furious I had to give ownership of my Booking. com account to my daughter to secure the room booking the day before. Very nearly cancelled due to demands for ID for all, only continued because Lavanda appeared to be linked to University Accommodation system but actually was very concerned about the amount of personal ID that had to be shared with a third party I only knew existed by accident: this was invisible from the Booking.com platform I booked through. Very cross and concerned about potential misuse of personal information.

Para lo que ofrece es caro. La silla de oficina que tiene da asquito y nunca entenderé que no haya un enchufe cerca de un espejo.
La ducha tiene 1cm menos de diferencia con el resto del baño pero increíblemente no sé inundó jajaja
