Cheap, cheerful and slightly spooky stay, with exceptionally friendly staff.
Pros:

Had everything that we needed for our stay and was good value for money. The staff were super friendly and helpful.

Cons:

Things that go bump in the night. We all had a (unexplainable) disturbed nights sleep, only ti find out when we got home, that building was haunted. Lol.

Served the purpose of somewhere to stay overnight.

No cooking going on so just had toast which was fine.
Quiet.

Electric wall socket hanging off wall - unusable/dangerous.
Window broken - could not close it and accessible from outside.
Side lamp did not work.

I never got to stay as it was impossible as the swan was closed for a month before my wedding 🤬
Pros:

I booked it for my wedding reception and paid up front for the room with booking.com. Then the licence ran off with my £200 deposit for our buffet and abandoned the pub and ran off with everything they could sell dropping numerous wedding parties with no venue 🤬 and in contacting you was a waste of time your response was so negative and disappointing I can’t describe how disappointed and frustrated I was as have used booking.com for years for so many breaks. So I have to say I’ve reluctantly come to terms that I’m never going to se a refund or credit. So I’ll never use you again which I’m sure won’t affect one iota 🤬.

Booking.com Double charge for failed vendor on same dates!
Pros:

Hotel contacted me to say they could not accommodate me before my trip allowing me to find an alternative all be it at a higher price!

Cons:

That Booking.com charged me for both bookings even though the first booking was cancelled by the vendor. You owe me at least £130 (First Booking). + Compensation for late cancellation and double charging me for the same dates!!!

Pros:

We booked for two nights , upon arrival the owner informed us that due electrical maintenance works we could only stay for one night, I have requested a refund for the outstanding night from both the owner and booking.com via emails and phone calls with no responses from either party

Lack of response from owners and booking.com as well as only being told about the maintenance works upon arrival at the hotel

Room ,bedding and bed should be binned as health hazard. Comunual bathroom with ONE hand towel for all to use unless you carried the one from room back and forth.Windows that don't clse so kept up by all the noise of traffic, a two year long tenants tv keeping me awake all night. Bar closed by 7 so you had no choice but go out or sit in room. Unless you asked staff if anyone was about for clean towels etc you never had them changed no one checked if thin bin liner is needing change. I have a load of pictures for health and safety as this was more like a down and outs hotel. I am very angry about this and will NEVER use or recommend Booking .com as you definitely do not check out the accommodation you promote. Angry doesn't even begin to describe how I feel. How do I send you photos of the disgusting bedding etc. I had to go and buy pillows as theirs were so flat and old you needed 4 to equal one decent pillow. Food extortionate £16 for a small bowl of pasta aribiata or pasta in tomato sauce, that was per bowl. Absolutely ruined our holiday as we had to go out all day every day as nothing going on in hotel. No breakfast unless you stated night the night before do you know you want breakfast and what the night before and that's all very well if there was staff after 6ish available. I could wright a book on this dismal accommodation with part time cleaners etc. VERY VERY ANGRY YOU PUT US IN THIS DIVE.
