Great place
Pros:

I loved the cooking and the way the cook helped us. It is very peaceful and the bed was comfortable.

Cons:

The food is ridiculously expensive. There were power shortages. The road leading to the place is absolutely awful. No reading lamps by the bed.

Phenomenal stay when visiting Lake Kivu or the Chimps in Ngunywe
Pros:

First off, this hotel is a hidden gem. Our tour company recommended their own suggestions and we were not pleased with them so we did our own research and I found this place. Wow! First off, it’s beautifully located right on Lake Kivu and is so relaxed and feels very safe with their own security. The room is beautiful, spacious, and has a great bathroom and patio. Moreover, the staff was outstanding and so attentive and communicative. And the food was outstanding on property. Breakfast is included so make sure to enjoy it. We also loved our dinner.

Lovely spot to spend a night or two before or after your visit to Nyungwe National Park.
Pros:

Bumpy, dirt road to the facility is worth to travel to reach this gem. Friendly staff, excellent and well priced food, overall impeccable cleanliness. Rooms in the form of bungalows with lake view (just 20 m away from the shore), with tea and coffee making facilities. You wake up to the sound of birds and fishermen singing in their boats. Paradise for bird watchers. Calm and relaxing - strongly recommended!

Cons:

Beware of the neigbouring hotel - it might get noisy with bar music.

Pros:

Beautiful location, great part of the lake to swim in. Convenient to Nyungwe as well. Comfy beds and nice hot showers. The food was good too!

Overall Nice Overnight Stay
Pros:

Clean and modern rooms with nice bathroom, beautiful lake view. We stopped on way to Nyungwe National Park which is a good 1.25 hour drive from the property.

Cons:

Food needs to improve. Don't have items like Margherita Pizza on the menu which are difficult for the Chef to execute.

Stunning view
Pros:

The lake views are stunning. The rooms are beautiful with nice African design. Lovely view onto the lake. Very comfy beds. Great bathroom.

Cons:

Only issue was around muddled dinner service… dessert and starter came out at the same time, some orders didn’t turn up. This is pretty standard for Rwanda but for this price they do need to work on their meal

This is such a great location and place to stay. The staff was so amazing, supportive and friendly all the time. They treated us well and provided all the amenities we needed to make our stay just great! We wish them all the best and hope they keep up the good work and services.
