Nice location, quaint but over priced
Pros:

Hotel location was good. Breakfast at the sister property was very good. The grassy garden area was nice by the beach.

Cons:

Did not like the stairs going up to second floor. They were not spaced properly and felt dangerous. Did not like the weird bathroom. Sink was so small, and there was always a bad smell in it. The air conditioning was loud.
We paid a high price per night and it was rated at a 8.7 so we did expect better.

Pros:

The staff was so kind and helpful. Being right on the beach- do I need to say more? Also, having the amenities from the neighboring resort made being there with a kiddo even easier.

Nettes Hotel in guter Lage
Pros:

Sehr zentral und direkt am Strand gelegen, tolle Strandbar mit nettem Personal

Cons:

Das Zimmer war etwas unkomfortabel, das Personal an der Rezeption wirkte manchmal etwas unmotiviert. Zum Frühstück musste man etwa 350 Meter in ein anderes Hotel gehen.

Great location but better food options required
Pros:

Right by the beach and still in town! Friendly staff, beautiful terrace, rare birds and other animals sighted. And a very lovely stray cat who came to visit us every night!

Cons:

Unfortunately no pool, no drinks or food on site, so you always had to get that elsewhere - even the breakfast :(

Beautiful stay!
Pros:

The location of this property was absolutely wonderful, a small boutique hotel located on the beach. You can roll out of bed and go straight for a walk. The tie up with larger hotel diria was great to be able to have an included wonderful breakfast. We stayed in the king size sea view room. We sadly had an issue with noise due to animals in the roof (just something that can happen in Costa Rica) but the staff promptly acted on this and switched our room and offered refund for one night. They were helpful and thoughtful. I would very much recommend this place!

Great value next to the beach.
Pros:

Breakfast was great, location to the beach amazing, everything you need in an unusually small hotel. The staff was helpful and friendly. Appreciated the beach access and walkability. Has access to sister property pools which are nice. (Hotel Diria)

Cons:

Mattresses could have been a little better quality. Street noise was high but that isn't unique to this hotel. If you like to hang out in the room a significant amount of time and drink a lot of coffee maybe not the right hotel for you as it's basic. Coffee is next door at the sister hotel.

Perfect location on the beach. Would definitely book again!
Pros:

Great location on the beach and walking to some amazing restaurants. The staff was wonderful and we were able to use the incredible pool and have breakfast at the neighboring hotel at half the price.

Cons:

Parking was a little tricky but the staff were helpful and the location was secure when we finally found it.

Comfortable bed and good breakfast.
Pros:

We had a great stay here! The king bed was very comfortable, and the hotel was steps from the beach. Breakfast was a short walk away, with a huge variety. Easy to walk to a ton of restaurants. Good wifi and AC.

Cons:

No laundry service. There was a wild animal fight on the roof over our room that got loud and woke us up. lol

Most amazing hotel we have ever stayed at in our lives
Pros:

Most beautiful hotel in Tamarindo. The staff knew it was my fiancé birthday during our stay and they surprised her (us) with a beautiful cake!! My fiancée was blown away! It really set the trip off in the best way possible

Cons:

Everything is perfect. The staff is the friendliest we have ever experienced. Have already referred Perla to others who have already booked stays! Can’t say enough of this Pearl of the Beach!
