Outstanding lodge to explore the natural wonders of the Atacama Desert
Pros:

My wife and I stayed 7 nights at Nueva Lodge La Estación in San Pedro de Atacama. After looking at several other hotels and reading many reviews, we decided to book at this property. One reason was the very positive reviews about the host Xiaolin. Everyone commented on her care and commitment to her guests. I started communicating with her through WhatsApp well before our visit and was very impressed with her prompt, personal, and engaging communication style. We decided to book all our tours through her as well. She also arranged our transportation from Calama Airport to the lodge. Everything she organized ran like clockwork, and she also suggested the best sequence of tours in Atacama. Xiaolin is very caring and responsive — we felt extremely well taken care of throughout our stay. She is also very well connected in town.
The room was perfect for our needs, with very comfortable beds and a great hot shower. The lodge has a 24-hour open kitchen stocked with fruit, bread, and all kinds of snacks, including drinking water to take on excursions. The lodge serves as a comfortable base camp, conveniently located just steps from the main street in San Pedro. Xiaolin also offered the use of extra jackets, gloves, and hats, especially useful for the sunrise Geyser tour. We did a Uyuni trip after our time in Atacama, and she graciously allowed us to leave our luggage at the lodge.
The cleaning crew also deserves a mention — Atacama is extremely dusty, and they did their best to keep the facility in great shape. We had an absolutely wonderful time visiting the amazing sites around San Pedro de Atacama and are so glad we chose Nueva Lodge La Estación. What made our visit extra special was the care and attention from Xiaolin.

Cons:

Everything worked out for us. The pool are not really inviting, but I had no interest in the pools. The hammock was definitely nice to relax in. Also, the lodge is very functional but as mentioned before, the city is very dusty.

Ótima localização, mas precisa de isolamento acústico nos quartos
Pros:

O atendimento da host, Xiaolin, do início ao fim, é sempre muito solícito e atencioso. O hotel é super bem localizado, bem próximo do início da Rua Caracoles e dos pontos de desembarque de muitos dos tours que fizemos em San Pedro. O quarto é bem regular, talvez um pouco melhor do que boa parte dos hotéis que vimos. A cama é grande e confortável. O ponto alto, para mim, foi o chuveiro. A água aquece super rápido e a pressão é maravilhosa, excelente para descansar depois dos passeios ao deserto.

Cons:

Como comentei, os quartos são bem regulares, nada de muito bonito pelo valor da estadia (que, ao meu ver, é bem cara para o que é oferecido, mas esse parece ser o padrão de San Pedro), ao menos é confortável. O problema para nós é a acústica. As paredes de madeira que dividem os quartos não possuem qualquer isolamento acústico. É possível escutar as conversas das pessoas nos outros quartos. Isso foi um incômodo enorme. Constantemente fomos acordados por outros hóspedes que chegavam tarde da noite à hospedagem, quando precisávamos dormir bem para acordar super cedo para algum passeio. Ou quando precisávamos dormir até um horário mais razoável, éramos acordados pelas risadas e conversas de outros hóspedes se arrumando e saindo para passeios de madrugada.

Na última noite, inclusive, mandei mensagem à Xiaolin pedindo que entrasse em contato com os hóspedes do quarto ao lago, que riam e falavam alto de madrugada, enquanto eu e meu esposo tentávamos dormir para levantar cedo e pegar o voo de Calama a Santiago. Ela solicitou que diminuíssem o volume da fala, mas, infelizmente, isso não ajudou muito. O resultado foi que chegamos exaustos a Santiago.

Granny chic is not my style, however guests comfort including 24hour self serve cafe was a bonus

Xioalin the manager was truly exceptional. She took the time to show me through the entire property, provided me with loads of insider tips and even helped me navigate translations and airport transfers. She went far beyond my expectations.

Localização boa. Quarto e banheiro grandes.

Cons:

Diferença de preço entre o informado no Booking e o enviado por msg pela gerente. Area externa com entulho por toda parte. Café da manhã com potes de biscoitos e cereais sem identificação e validade. Chuveiro com problemas na regulagem da temperatura. Iluminação noturna da área externa precária. Relatos que o "hotel" está em obras desde 2024 e pelo visto os entulhos ainda são aquela época....

Localizacao perfeita,comodidade e conforto dentro de um paraiso que é o Atacama

O Lodge conta com chuveiro quente, camas confortaveis, localizacao estupenda (dentro do centro, mas longe da muvuca), café da manhã a vontade (self service) assim como lanches de madrugada. Espaço para celebraçoes , piscina, alem de ser um charme! amei ! a Recepcionista/administradora é MARAVILHOSA

Rustico e aconchegante
Pros:

A estrutura do hotel em geral é de boa qualidade. A localização é ótima. O atendimento da proprietária (Xiaolin) é excelente. O diferencial também é a cozinha disponível 24 horas com todos equipamentos e uma boa variedade de ingredientes para um bom cafe da manha, cafe da tarde ou um chá a noite.

As instalações são confortáveis, a cama é muito boa e o quarto é amplo. Vale a pena usufruir da banheira de hidromassagem. O atendimento da Xiaolin é diferenciado, ela é extremamente atenciosa e acolhedora.

Cons:

Um ponto que pode ser melhorado é a troca das toalhas de banho. Também me chamou um pouco de atenção os banheiros com cortina de plástico, sem vidro blindex, parece ser um padrão nos hotéis chilenos. Com isso o piso acaba molhando muito, prejudicando a organização e higiene do ambiente.

A great stay in the centre of San Pedro de Atacama

A great hotel located a few minutes from the main street in San Pedro.

The hotel was comfortable with a nice cafe / kitchen area.
