Beautiful, comfortable, clean and relaxing stay with the extended family and kids.
Pros:

The breakfast is made fresh with a great variety.
I loved the views from the upstairs breakfast room.
It was a lovely secluded property, where you felt safe and away from the hustle and bustle.
The best thing was truly the host. She was extremely helpful and kind.

Cons:

Not that I didn't like it, but when it says 'kitchenette' and 'laundry,' it is not DIY laundry; it's a service offering. And the kitchen isn't a full setup. You'll have to ask the host if you need knives, a chopping board, a colander, etc., which they will kindly provide.

A wonderful place to stay!
Pros:

I highly recommend staying here. The family who own the hotel are truly lovely and thoughtful. They went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed and made this stay truly special. They have a beautiful vegetable garden that they invited me to eat from and they brought me coffee and sweet treats every day, and made me feel at home. The suite was very nice, spacious, and clean, the building is new and very well cared for, and the property is beautiful and peaceful, with views of the mountains, rice fields, and a pond next door. You can rent motor scooters from them, there are a number of stores you can walk to on the main road nearby, and they have a laundry service. I didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to return. Thank you for such a warm welcome!

1，首先这个民宿的位置很偏，出行非常不方便，你即便出去吃个早餐也需要叫出租车，在你熟练使用打车软件叫车后至少等20分钟，并且琅勃拉邦的嘟嘟车个出租车并不便宜。 这样你只能在房东那里租用摩托车，价格不贵，但我们租到的摩托车很旧，前轮胎磨光了。很不幸的，在琅勃拉邦的糟糕的路况下，我老公连续两天摔了，第二次因为锁骨断了，不得不提前结束旅程。
First of all, this homestay is in a very remote location, making it extremely inconvenient to get around. Even going out for breakfast requires a taxi. After you manage to book one using a ride-hailing app, you still have to wait at least 20 minutes. Besides, tuk-tuks and taxis in Luang Prabang are not cheap.

This leaves you no choice but to rent a motorcycle from the host. The price is not high, but the motorcycle we got was very old, with the front tire completely worn out. Unfortunately, due to the poor road conditions in Luang Prabang, my husband fell off twice in two days. The second fall resulted in a broken collarbone, forcing us to end our trip early.

第三，不知道这家民宿是怎么定位自己的？是高档酒店，还是温馨民宿？如果定位成民宿，居然提出不能在房间内洗衣服，因为老挝常年夏季，我手洗了我和孩子的贴身t恤以及内衣，居然宣称每洗一次需要200000老挝币的额外水费。如果定位为高档酒店，没有任何酒店服务，包括饮用水，房间打扫，我们连住5天没有任何服务，连要个厕所用纸，还得用whatapp 联系房主，然后等待几个小时才能得到。当然收费送洗服务他们是有的，哈哈！

Third, I really don’t know how this homestay defines itself. Is it a high-end hotel, or a cozy homestay?
If it’s a homestay, it’s unbelievable that we are not allowed to wash clothes in the room. Laos is hot all year round. I only hand-washed some T-shirts and underwear for my kids and myself, but they claimed they would charge an extra 200,000 Lao Kip for water every time we do laundry.

If it’s supposed to be a high-end hotel, it offers no hotel services at all — no drinking water, no daily cleaning. We stayed for 5 days and received no housekeeping service whatsoever.

One of the best options in Luang Prabang with outstanding service and for a reasonable price
Pros:

Its truly outstanding, large rooms, very well equipped with all comforts necessary for a pleasant stay in Luang Prabang.
Breakfast was exceptional with vegetables from the own garden, organic grown and deliciously prepared.
The owners go out of their way to make you feel welcome and are so friendly and helpful in all matters.
We would definitely book again.

Amazing stay in a beautiful house with lovely owners
Pros:

The lovely owners were regularly present on the property (or reachable via WhatsApp) to provide us with advice or help us with our every needs. Breakfast time was particularly enjoyable with fresh products from the garden and nice chats with the owners and other guests. The surroundings are very quiet and the rooms are extremy large and comfortable, which was perfect for our family.

Cons:

The property is outside the old town (although not too far) so you need transport to get to town but it also means that it is quieter at night. Our room was on the ground floor so we did not have views of the mountains and rice fields but we did enjoy those at breakfast on the top floor.

Nice stay. Road to the property a bit bumpy but very short distance hence not an issue

Cons:

My mother in law was not well hence we asked for a late checkout(with extra fees whatever they would want) Even though they did not have any other guests they did not extend for another few hours. I would understand if they had other booking or if we were asking for free late checkout. It was a win win we they had agreed as they did not have any other booking.

excellent place to stay, especially for families with children or small groups
Pros:

The location is a bit out of town, from the breakfast room a fabulous view over ricefields and mountains. The room is more an apartment with plenty space. We had one double bed and 2 singles for the children. There are harmonica dividers between sections so you can make separate rooms/compartments if you want to. The place is new and spotlessly clean. Khamsone and his wife go out of their way to make people's stay memorable! Nice outside terrace with cooking facilities (biogas!), where you can prepare your lunches and dinners if you don't want to eat out. Conference facility on-site. Breakfast typical Lao but with great flexibility to accomodate your wishes.

Cons:

The place is very quiet, off the main road, but for 3-4 dollar you are with a taxi in the centre with all the buzzle of what in December/January could be called mass tourism. If you want to be near restaurants and bars maybe not ideal, but if you want a quiet place a bit away from the buzz ideal!

Séjour parfait en famille dans cette charmante et paisible maison d’hôtes à Luang Prabang. On s’y sent véritablement comme chez soi, notamment grâce à l’extraordinaire gentillesse de la propriétaire – un grand merci à elle ! I felt at home from the moments I stepped in the Garden House!
Immaculate clean apartment, very large space. The hostess is the warmest person I have met in the whole SE Asia. She has hired very service minded staff and they are always ready to help. I got so much better service than if I had checked in a regular hotel. We really appreciate we were assigned a ground floor apartment so my husband didn’t have to climb many stairs with his bad knees. We also have been served the best breakfast we have had in whole Laos. Delicious and always freshly made. Homemade jams and homemade soy milk! We couldn’t ask for more. Definitely a place to recommend to everyone I know. P.S. you are welcome to pick fruits and veggies from the garden - it is a lovely thing we were allowed to do.

A peaceful and comfortable week, with excellent food and even better hosts.
Pros:

I am so happy that I booked this place, it’s more like an apartment than a hotel and I felt really at home here. It was so peaceful, overlooking the mountains, with a huge balcony and really light and airy inside. It’s brand new, opened last year and everything is spotless and really well thought out, the bed was very comfortable and the shower was great. All the staff are wonderful and the breakfast every morning was like a cultural experience in itself. Staying here was the highlight of our trip to Luang Prabang.
We also had our laundry done here and they rented us a moped for the whole stay at a very good price. It’s run by a hard working and honest family, and they are wonderful hosts and all around lovely people.

I would book this place again in a heartbeat if I ever come back to Luang Prabang!

This place is a dream & we’re humble to have been allowed to share it.
Pros:

We loved this place! It was the perfect oasis in Luang Prabang. But the Garden House is not only a place to stay to explore the city & its surroundings, it’s a destination in itself. It’s a wonderful experience to take part of this inspired project. The breakfast room windows capture the misty morning mountains like a painting. The generous outdoor kitchen allowed us to experiment with Lao cooking. Incredibly, we could add the organic produce from the garden to our plates. The lovely host even offered a papaya directly from the tree to my mother - this is the kind of moments you cherish forever…

The list of things to adore here is endless - thank you so much for creating this place & giving us such a warm welcome! Extra thanks for helping us (super efficiently on WhatsApp) with everything from charcoal to the barbecue to sticky rice steamer to transport.
