Had parking, got upgrade and quite and cozy space and excellent breakfast
No plug and couldn’t work out the heating
The bed was comfy
The first floor of hotel smelt like sewage, breakfast was not worth 13.00pound left most of it tasted old. The hot water was cold after 5 mins of runnung bath
Great value for money. Friendly helpful staff.
Thank you.
I arrived too late for dinner and had to leave too early for breakfast and didn't get the opportunity to try the meals. Which smelled fantastic!
The location
Everything
It was central
The room we were allocated appeared to have been recently painted; however, the strong smell of paint fumes was quite overpowering and affected overall comfort.
As a result, despite being very tired, we had to sleep with the windows wide open to make the room more bearable.
There were also some practical shortcomings. There were no bedside power outlets or lighting, which was inconvenient. Additionally, the air vent above the door was missing a cover, allowing noise and movement to be easily heard from both inside and outside the room. Only one towel was provided, which did not seem sufficient.
It seemed that the room, located in a building adjacent to the main hotel, may have been used as overflow accommodation and was not fully prepared for guests.
The staff were present and generally attentive.
Having stayed in the main building previously, this experience was noticeably different. It appears that the property may currently be undergoing upgrades, and I would suggest ensuring rooms are fully completed and ready before being allocated to guests.
