Central London property-ensuite, double and budget room

The lock on the front door is broken and the host did not reply to my message about it. I felt unsafe in the flat because of this. The bed collapsed when I sat on it due to the slats being old/worn - I’m not a large woman or heavy (65kg). I had to fix this multiple times during the night. Simply moving in the wrong spot caused the slats to come out again, making sleeping difficult. Sleeping was also difficult because of the noise from other guests, particularly using the bathroom at night. It is impossible to close the bathroom door quietly, meaning every time someone went to the bathroom in the night I woke up. The bathroom itself was acceptable but sorely in need of a better clean, some remedial works and the mould needs to be addressed.

Before arrival was told parking was free however upon arrival no parking facilities and when we called the owner we was told it was on the street and the council was charging £9 an hour to park on street! We were there for 3 days! Coming from a small city we were completely unaware that this was a thing so had to park 2 MILES away from the room and uber back with all of our luggage.

Once we arrived to the room the door was extremely stiff and took me and my partner 5 attempts and 2 more phone calls to the owner to get in. When we eventually got into the room absolutely exhausted after a 6 hour drive, we found that the room was okay but not to the best of standards for what we had paid. There was electrical burn marks around one of the sockets so safe to say we didn’t use it as it felt extremely unsafe. The room was semi clean. I have definitely seen cleaner.

The en-suite was absolutely tiny. My partner came back with multiple bruises from having to squeeze past the wall and the sink to get to the shower.

My partner who has a skin sensitivity disorder did not sleep during our stay as the bedding was clearly washed in bio rather than non bio and my partner had a severe allergic reaction which meant she had sleep fully clothed head to toe, so she didn’t come in contact with the bedding (MID SUMMER WITH NO AIR CONDITION AND WINDOWS THAT BARELY OPENED) safe to say it was extremely uncomfortable for her.

This therefore ruined the rest of our trip due to lack of sleep when my partner must be well rested as she struggles with her joints.

Overall, the stay wasn’t ideal and we would like compensation for this.

The bed was broken. The wardrobe was broken. The draws were broken. The kitchen was full of clutter. There was an old headboard behind the bed. Had to use that to repair the bed and sleep on that.

Don't like sharing bathroom.

I thought I took the room with private bathroom but it was not so we had a shared bathroom with someone else. The flat is really small so you will eventually run into the other peoples. The host didn’t send me the code for the room so I had to call. Overall it was really fine and I could have spend more nights in it.

Uns war nicht bewusst, dass man sich eine Mini Wohnung mit 4 anderen Leuten teilt. Das Bad war super klein und nicht sauber (Schwarzer Schimmel). Die Bettwäsche war dreckig.

Die Einrichtung ist leider nicht zufriedenstellend. Zum Beispiel: das Bett ist instabil und es fallen Latten aus dem Rost. Der Spiegelschrank ist beschädigt und schief. Das Fenster lässt sich nicht luftdicht schliessen, sodass kalter Wind durch bläst. Das geteilte Badezimmer ist recht schmutzig und heruntergekommen.

Tive problemas com o sensor das chaves, acabei ficando na hospedagem, pois não podia sair até que alguém me respondesse.

The right side of the bed was very difficult to sit or lay on without the wooden planks holding up the mattress clattering to the ground. It wasn't an issue on the left side of the bed.
