I quite enjoyed the challenge but people should be aware of the long dirt track to get there....especially on motorbikes, which we were. It's perfectly doable but be aware for any cautious motorcyclists.

The biggest issue was that we were never informed that major construction work was taking place on the outside of the building. As a result, the terraces were closed, everything outside was covered in dust, and the property felt like a construction site. Even worse, the work started around 8:00 a.m., making it impossible to enjoy a relaxing sleep-in.
The advertised outdoor pool was also disappointing. Due to the construction, the water was dusty, there were no sun loungers or outdoor furniture, and the surrounding area was dominated by scaffolding instead of a pleasant place to relax.
The property itself has enormous potential. The building, the rooms, and the common areas are charming and could be truly special. Unfortunately, they currently lack care, personality, and attention to detail. Everything feels a little tired, dusty, and neglected, with very little sense of hospitality.
The staff were friendly enough, but seemed largely indifferent. There was no “Good morning” at breakfast, no “How was your stay?” at check-out, and little sense that guest experience mattered. When we mentioned at check-out that guests should be informed in advance about the construction work, the receptionist simply replied, “Yes, I’ve told my boss that people should be informed.” That was the end of the conversation.
The photos online present the property in a much more polished and inviting way than the reality we experienced. Another issue was a very bright floodlight outside our room, illuminating the building throughout the night. Sleeping with the window open was therefore not an option, as the room was almost as bright as daylight.
The property offers dinner, which is convenient since there are very few nearby alternatives. While reasonably priced, the meal was unfortunately quite mediocre.
We had genuinely been looking forward to staying here as a peaceful stop on our journey across Spain. Instead, we left feeling very disappointed.

L’impossibilité de dîner dehors ou d’y prendre le petit déjeuner
Et surtout le personnel vraiment pas très aimable qu’on a l’impression de déranger.

Could have done with slightly softer pillows maybe. The temperature outside is perfect at night, but if you open the window, you can hear the distant cars. Not a problem as we had air conditioning which we used only to get to sleep as it really got cold. I would still go back.

L'accès est ponctuellement un peu compliqué, suite à des travaux en cours autours de l'établissement (qui n'en est pas responsable). Le plan d'accès nous a bien été communiqué, avant notre arrivée.

The fact that they don’t have restaurant service outside on the nice terraces they have. The place has a small restaurant capacity but have a large outdoor space but they don’t offer service if you sit outside. We had to go and have dinner in Utiel town. They offered us very good restaurant options in the town. Thank you!!!
