Le personnel
rien
Staff were helpful in all aspects of our stay. Language was a small barrier with little English spoken by wait staff. But receptionists both could speak good English. In saying that, the wait staff were so helpful we were able to arrange coconut crab and bougna through them. The chef was very obliging and prepared the crab for us in house. Amazing service.
The hotel has seen better days and is in need of maintenance. With lack of tourists I can see there would be no funds to manage this. But the caretakers do their utmost to help if needed.
Absolutnie wyjątkowe położenie. Piękna plaża. Rajskie widoki. Zaangażowanie personelu jest bardzo dobrym elementem. Szczególnie Pani, która obsługuje recepcję. Niestety nie znam jej imienia. Pani pochodzi z Japonii. Jej postawa jest wyjątkowym elementem tego miejsca.
Hotel jest w fatalnym stanie. Wymaga bardzo szybko ogromnych nakładów finansowych. Prawdopodobnie nowego inwestora. Jest to efekt wieloletnich zaniedbań. Najprawdopodobniej to następstwa COVID i zamieszek z 2024 roku. Śniadania w obiekcie pozostawiają wiele do życzenia.
The only less basic property on the Island
Basic, slow and lethargic service
The amazing location and view. The beautiful beach, the walk to the bridge. The room was great. The local rum! The gardener was doing a great job and as we observed was the hardest working staff member!
The room safe, (didn’t work properly and we couldn’t use it, not to mention is not bolted down), the menu was quite nice but we ordered the lobster one night, which unfortunately was overcooked. The staff whilst reasonably friendly, had zero urgency and we often had to approach them for service.
The location is spectacular. Ouvea is one of the most beautiful places I have seen. Pristine white soft sand and sea of a colour i've never seen. The lagoon opposite is beautiful but not for swimming. It is part of a UNESCO heritage site along with the nearby Cliffs of Lekiny. A tour of the island organised by the hotel took us to other beautiful spots.
The hotel itself was lovely. We read comments about it being tired which i thought were a bit unfair. The aircon units were being replaced and other maintenance was happening unobtrusively. Our room was big, clean and comfortable. The beds are huge. The gardens are beautiful and very well cared for.
The staff were friendly and helpful if you asked for anything. The pace is slow but after we'd relaxed a bit that was ok. The food was delicious and the cocktails strong! Most staff tried to speak English and we tried just as hard in French
Nothing the hotel could fix! New Caledonia isn't cheap so this hotel isn't either but once we got used to that it was fine. The sea was beautiful but there was no snorkelling nearby.
Another note- I wish we had taken more cash for rhe excursions which are paid directly.
The location is great, surround by beaches on both sides of the resort.
The rooms smelled bad, like pee. They were not cleaned even tho they offer room service at each day they would just stretch your sheets and out new towels but not clean the room.
The rooms are falling apart it need’s maintenance, the towels offered were no of good quality neither enough,
Some tiles in the bathroom were literally glued with tape and you could see it, and in that area a lot of ants would accumulate.
The staff was friendly but they are understaffed dinner would take too long food was not good, did not taste good , food would be served cold on your table, the staff would forget your orders, you needed to remind them all the time , serve some people on your table and others would have to wait.
Breakfast buffet was another sad story.
Oh and if you go out for activities and return after 2 you can’t have a snack neither lunch until they open for dinner. No food until dinner at 7 pm. Not even small dishes. That sucked the most.
The location! This hotel is right on the most stunning beach and near the Lekiny Bay and Cliffs.
The property is very poorly maintained, neglect is evident everywhere you look and the manager should be ashamed. The worst thing was the bad wifi access.
the beach,
the small island Fayawa just across the road,
the excellent customer service
mosquitoes but it is nature
We were cautions before booking this place because it seemed to have plenty of bad reviews but I'm glad we did. The room was very nice. The resort pool is shallow but rewarding after a big day in the sun. The restaurant (which seems to cop it in reviews) was also nice. I didn't feel the meals were overpriced, in fact i thought they were great (we never had breakfast) And the manager was friendly and helpful to us. This Island has the clearest water and whites beaches particularly if you turn right leaving the resort and drive down the road a few kilometres....absolutely amazing
it’s located in one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen, lovely staff and atmosphere, very relaxing vibe.
The lack of showers or changing facilities to use after check out if we want to enjoy the beach between check out time and airport shuttle pick up time.
I got really sick because of the water, not the hotel’s fault but I’d highly recommend drinking bottled water only, and I’d appreciate some signs warning about the water not being suitable for everyone.
The bungalows are a bit rundown, the ceiling in ours was literally falling apart. The bathrooms could do with some hooks or rails for towels as well as some fittings to put shower gel, soap, shampoo, etc.
The options for dinner are very limited and very expensive, the food is good but I wish I had other choices like burgers, soups etc. at all times
I was not impressed with the breakfast, it’s very basic, it’s not bad at all but it should be cheaper considering what they can offer.
beautiful facilities, very lovely staff and their manager, the beach bungalow was exceptional! care hire available at the hotel as well.
the food was wonderful but a bit too spendy to allow us to become regular guests of the restaurant
location! units are right on the beach.
also, cooked kids meals early even though restaurant wasn’t officially open, which was very accommodating.
