We loved the location of the hotel. It was set in lovely grounds and there was a big area at the front of the hotel where you could sit out and a terrace area. Our family room was perfect, a good size and we had a double bed and two single beds which was perfect. My little dog was made to feel very welcome by all the staff and that was very nice.

Location ideal for Open Air Theatre in Scarborough only 10-15 taxi ride. Staff great - very helpful and friendly. Breakfast lovely. Rooms and en suite were very clean and bed comfortable.
26 degrees outside and the bedroom was like a sweat box. The radiator in the bathroom appeared to be on a timer so was on and off all the time. Just a transome window to open in the bedroom which was very ineffective. Which lead to a very uncomfortable nights sleep.
Lovely hotel - ideal for open air theatre. Visited for a gig and only a short uber away. Beautiful setting, lovely staff and spacious room

The building has a lot of character and is lovely. Great size bedroom with four poster bed, which was very comfortable!

Floors are very creaky, but you’d expect that from an old building! Toilet lid needs replacing (room 11), room door handle loose….

A mini fridge would have been beneficial but it didn’t put me off the property

Rooms have very thin walls so can be noisy depending on who’s nearby & what time they get up/go to bed. WiFi didn’t work in our room - too far from router.

Had a warm welcome from staff. Room was lovely and bed was very comfortable.
We didn't have the breakfast (which could be paid for on arrival) as we had an early start.
We had a meal in the bar though - some good options. Food was hot and tasty.
There was parking available at the hotel.

Great family room clean and spacious
We had prior knowledge of intermittent WiFi in our room (room 24) as the room was in the courtyard away from the main part of the hotel but in fact there was no internet at all so the tv was a little redundant. Also, you could hear anyone in the room above walking across the floor making quite a loud creaking which in our case was 6am. But despite this we still enjoyed our stay
