Very relaxed environment and friendly staff
How thin the walls are so you can hear absolutely everything
The room was good value for money and was clean. Pillows were great to sleep on.
Enjoyed the garden, bar and restaurant. The food was amazing, and the breakfast was worth it!
Very friendly and welcoming staff.
Location was great.
We had issues with the Wi-Fi, it wasn't usable in our room at all, constantly dropping in and out of connection.
Couldn't get the TV to work, standard TV, not a smart TV.
Mattresses were very soft, not to our preference.
Lighting in the room not great (All lights on or off) would be nice for the bedside lights to be usable on their own, but it was the big light, or nothing.
Also we was on the ground floor, and the second night of our stay, there was a lot of noise coming from the people staying above us from 12am to 3am. Really struggled to get a decent night's sleep with the noise.
The staff were so friendly. The location was lovely. The room was spacious.
It's on old building but you can literally hear every single time someone moves. We were above the bar (I did request a room with garden view , so partially my fault, didn't realise it was above the bar) so we heard music first thing in the morning, presume breakfast music.
Our windows were left open during the day, which I'm thankful for, but it let alot of tree dirt? Onto the window bottoms. Again, it's not a complaint , just something to be mindful of. And obviously windows open so arrived to about 6 flies in the room.
We didn't complain because these are things that happen but I do think someone else might so worth mentioning.
The location is great, very pretty
The only downside was the WIFI would only work when I stood in the reception area and not in the room.

The cold water was cloudy and warm. We asked staff if it was drinking water and they said not sure. We asked for a bottle of water which they didn't have any.
The service was very slow when we ate for dinner.
We had a brown stained towel.
There was also some mold on the ceiling.
We raised these concerns and we're offered a reduced stay for next time. We wouldn't return due to these issues
Beautiful place, really nice bar and restaurent area and friendly staff
The room upstairs were noisy which was ashame, and probably worth taking an eye mask as the wimdow blinds dont block out the light fully so I didnt have the best night sleep.
Also as a big tea drinker a couple of extra tea bags would have been nice.
Pleasant gardens
Able to have a nightcap
The kettle was dangerous - handle boiled - unable to lift
beds squeaked
noise from people going to their rooms above
light pollution from people going to their rooms
no bottled water available
no aircon or fan
dogs yapping
gravel difficult for people with mobility issues
greeted with booking.com hadn't paid!
Room was excellent very modern and clean, bathroom/shower room was really good, Breakfast was really nice and very good value for money
Breakfast service was really slow, but they were quite busy so not really a negative
It was like a country retreat a beautiful location.
Only slight alteration which is nothing really is having a complimentary bottle of water to use.
Location, Room size and facilities.
Friendly staff.
Parking awkward and not marked out or hardstanding - on grass.
Breakfast - overcooked and some items very dry but choices good and easy access to all items.
Clean comfy rooms in quiet location. Helpful staff specially the man in the workshop who helped fix my bike
Limited menu
Excellent value for money
Staff welcoming and accommodating
Very clean all areas
Lovely breakfast /good bar
Lovely venue
Fantastic location and great setting. Facilities excellent
Beautiful hotel in lovely grounds, reminds me of the film dirty dancing. Rooms are lovely and spacious. Lovely breakfast all freshly cooked with plenty of choice. Nice bar area with good selection of drinks. Staff are very friendly, helpful and welcoming. We would come back as found it good value for money. Earlier check in was a great addition to pay for pay if you want it
Just a few little adjustments could make the hotel a 10/10 Mattress could do with replacing as can feel the springs. Although this bothered my husband more than me. We stayed on 27th June and it was very hot, we requested a fan & one was very kindly brought to our room but prob better if each room had fans in them in the heat and perhaps a small fridge with a complimentary bottle of water. The walls are very thin and can hear people in surrounding rooms but this didn’t bother us or impact our sleep but my husband could hear a family with kids at 7am having a full conversation so might not be great if you want a lie in but also depends on what guests are staying when you book.
The property is really lovely, very relaxing.
Car parking was a little restricted but it was a Friday evening and quite busy.
