All very nice
Nothing
Everything. Location, large rooms, gardens, dog friendly and parking
No faults
Excellent for dogs. Plenty of nice grounds for them to run in
Nothing
Beautiful Lodge, good location easy access to all coastal resorts also for some inland places of interest, staff were helpful and friendly, our room was great, with nice view and spacious, all was very clean and food was very good many thanks
So we found that parking was sometimes alittle difficult, and 1st night we parked under the trees only to find the car in the morning covered in bird droppings, also on the Sunday there was an event on all day until midnight load music, children screaming and huge queues at the bar, which took me 40mins to get served, will make sure next time we stay that there isn't an event
The staff were friendly and efficient at all times. The room was spacious, well furnished and equipped, and tastefully decorated. The breakfast was excellent in terms of quality, choice and service.
My only (minor) gripe was the television in the room has a known fault. The wi-fi was not great, but I was pre-warned about that.
Staff, owner and facilities were excellent for the price on a bank holiday weekend
Room above the toilets. Luck of the draw
No real ale
Clean room
It had everything we needed
Our room was outside the delivery bay and caused disruption until 23.15. I sent a message regarding this noise disruption but unfortunately i didn’t hear anything back.
Having the window open due to the heat obviously was ideal because we could hear everything.
Breakfast was very basic. They were apparently waiting on the delivery to put out more continental items.
We’ve stayed here several times now - love the fact that it’s quite informal, rooms are comfortable, staff are always helpful and very smiley! The location is great for visiting that part of Yorkshire - not far from the coast, but less than an hour by road to York.
Disappointed in the cooked breakfast, most of it was cold and not very appetising.
The location, approximately 4 miles outside Scarborough, the hotel staff was helpful, the breakfast was sensational. Rooms are clean, we have stayed 5 times already, going back this September.
Nothing at all, can't fault it.
Had a delicious and good value Sunday Lunch
Portion size were generous.
We chose the Lodge because of the size of the grounds. It was excellent for our elderly golden retriever.
Being just away from the main road it was Quiet.
Easy to find as it has two entrances on two different roads.
Sometimes some breakfast portions were cool.
The hotel setting is lovely and the downstairs room was comfortable
The bed though large was soft and springy
Location, buildings and surrounds all good.
Food very good.
Proximity to other places of interest very good.
Would have preferred a ground floor room as there was no lift.
Clean and comfortable property in an idillic area. Gorgeous gardens, car park available. Staff were a delight, ever so helpful. Ideal for a one night stay with two adults and two children. We stayed in room 31 on the 1st floor. Double bed and two single beds, tea coffee station, coffee, tea, milk, sugar, plenty of towels. The windows could do with a clean, black mould around it but that can be easily cleaned.
10minutes drive from Scarborough beach. Chippy, spar and fuel station 2minutes drive from the property. We had breakfast the next morning, plenty to choose from.
