You can see the original ambition, but the property needs serious upkeep
Pros:

This is one of those properties where you can immediately tell that, at some point, a huge amount of effort and money must have gone into building it. The rooms are large, spacious, and there are touches throughout the property that hint at what the hotel was originally trying to become.
Unfortunately, maintenance seems to have fallen behind that vision.
The property does not really look the way the pictures suggest, and some amenities no longer function properly. For example, many of the jacuzzi setups in rooms were not working during our stay. There also is not much of an actual view from the property in the way the online presentation may imply.
At the same time, I do want to acknowledge that Pahalgam and Kashmir tourism overall have gone through difficult periods in recent years, so I can understand that maintaining a large property consistently may not be easy.
The absolute highlight of the stay for me was the housekeeping and room service staff, especially the women working there. They were warm, hardworking, and genuinely lovely to interact with. I also truly appreciated seeing women employed visibly in hospitality roles here. It felt empowering and progressive in a region where travellers still notice these things.

Cons:

Breakfast was disappointing and honestly not worth looking forward to. That is one area the hotel seriously needs to improve.
Overall, the rooms themselves are comfortable because of their size and layout, but considering the pricing, the hotel currently does not feel worth the amount being charged. With better maintenance and more attention to operational quality, though, it could become a genuinely excellent property again.

Refrigerator not plugged in and smelled strongly of fish. No staff available for breakfast. Had checked multiple times if a credit card could be used and told that this would not be a problem. Until we went to check out and then cash was needed

Pros:
