Lovely venue poorly managed
Pros:

Nice rooms with view of back garden

Cons:

No access for guests to any lounges which meant only sitting area was your room. Although I was told by the receptionist that there were plenty of places on Newmarket high street to sit! Staff were quite formal and stuffy.

Pros:

Large comfortable room, warm, quiet, lovely view, plenty of power points, good wifi, parking in safe area outside. Lovely style, comfortable bed. Lovely staff, v helpful. Good breakfast with wide range & lovely staff

We had a lovely two night stay at The Jockey Club rooms and will definitely return.
Pros:

It was a beautiful building with a lot of History and the rooms had everything that was needed - staff were so lovely and welcoming and lovely breakfasts and it was on the main high Street - though the property was set back in its own grounds ☺️

Cons:

It would have been nice to have a bar to be able to have a drink on arrival or before dinner but totally get it’s a members club and that is shown in the brilliant room rate ☺️

I would love to come back
Pros:

What an incredible experience staying at a property with so much history and elegance and class. The breakfast was to die for. The artwork and furnishings exquisite. Absolutely loved it.

Cons:

With luggage to get upstairs with the small lift was the one tiny criticism.

Not the room we booked and upgrade was less suitable.
Pros:

We always love coming here and so do our family.
This visit was disappointing. On arrival we were told we had an upgrade. No-one is going to complain about that but we had chosen a deluxe room for its extra large bed. The upgrade was a flat with facilities we didn't need such as the kitchen and dining room, but a smaller bed. I must have mistakenly booked room only as I had to pay for breakfast which also put a damper on the stay.

Cons:

The Queen's suite, though magnificent to book if we had needed an airbnb, was draughty. we were freezing for a couple of hours as wind blew in all the windows during a rain storm

Great location, lovely breakfast, clean and spacious room (even the single was very roomy and comfy.
Pros:

The breakfast was lovely, I didn't have cooked but what was available was perfect. The staff were very efficient and friendly. Lovely venue too!

Cons:

Maybe a lounge area to sit in, especially as there were 2 of us travelling but staying in separate rooms but that's just something we mentioned would have be nice .
