Lovely hotel, great pub food and friendly staff always happy to help.
Pros:

The staff are all very friendly and super helpful, breakfast was very good and plentiful.

Cons:

There is a bit of road noise which is expected with the location I’m just a very light sleeper. It wouldn’t stop me staying on another occasion.

Absolutely wonderful Stay at the Red Lion
Pros:

Such friendly helpful staff. Lovely pub with great selection of Ales and excellent food.
Room and bed very comfortable and just what was needed after a long drive. All the staff were brilliant
Excellent value for money

Cons:

If I had one minor problem. I think a slip mat in the bath when taking a shower, as we are both in our 70s.But in the bigger picture a minor gripe

Pros:

Good breakfast
Spacious room

Cons:

Can hear the extractor fans from the bedrooms.
Single beds seemed smaller than even regular single beds. Very uncomfortable. (Booked twin in error)
Just get rid of them and put double beds in.
Hot water took a long time to arrive at the taps.
Bath creaked all night (expanding and contracting?)

Hotel couldn't provide a printed invoice as morning staff member didn't seem to know how.

We enjoyed our stay
Pros:

Very good breakfast

Cons:

At the moment there is work being done on the pub and in the room there were cracks on a wall: we should have been advised of the cracks on arrival.

The place to stay just outside of Bury!
Pros:

A comfortable room of a decent size. An excellent breakfast!

Cons:

My dinner was a bit so so, a 7/10. Other than that, it was a good option.
