Lovely staff but rooms are tired.
Pros:

Lovely pub. Great staff.

Cons:

The rooms are in dire need of an upgrade. The sink in my room was cracked and the shower needed re grouting. Secondary double glazing needed a good clean. Apparently according to staff there appears to be refurbishment planned.

Disappointing after previous visits.
Pros:

Extremely welcoming and helpful staff on reception and in restaurant. Excellent food although could be more cold choices at breakfast. Very clean room.

Cons:

Bed too small. Definitely not a king which we were expecting so did not sleep well. Shower also very small and cramped, difficult to access.

I came from Scotland by train to Manchester & then waited 3/4 hrs for bus , then went past the hotel to next bus stop!! Should have got an Uber!

Lovely short stay.
Pros:

Good location for us. We had a one night stay on our way south just before Christmas, and were going to a Christmas concert nearby. Comfortable room, slept well, quiet in room (although it is close to the road). Plenty of parking. Staff were great. Good breakfast. An added bonus was Santa turning up in the morning - they were hosting a kid's Christmas party that morning!

Cons:

Nothing. I would stay here again.

Lovely hotel, great pub food and friendly staff always happy to help.
Pros:

The staff are all very friendly and super helpful, breakfast was very good and plentiful.

Cons:

There is a bit of road noise which is expected with the location I’m just a very light sleeper. It wouldn’t stop me staying on another occasion.

Superb
Pros:

Staff were excellent, lovely, clean comfortable room which looked recently decorated. Comfortable relaxed bar area, not overcrowded or cramped.
