Lovely stay with great food
Pros:

Lovely place. Food was excellent. Staff were welcoming. Room was large and comfortable. Shower was lovely. The complimentary cake was a real bonus. Delicious!

Cons:

The curtains let too much light in. When sunrise is at 4:30 that's not helpful

Pros:

The white swan was excellent, from cakes and scones left in our room along along with a fridge to keep fresh milk for our tea and coffee was a lovely touch, something most 5* hotels don’t even provide. The owners and staff were lovely and very hospitable, I have to say the food was exquisite both at breakfast and our evening meal. This is definitely a superb place to stay as rated on booking.com.

Cons:

Nothing

Great location, great food, great staff!
Pros:

The location of this Inn was perfect to break our long journey from Suffolk to Dornoch. The staff were supberb and very friendly. The food was first class and could not be faulted. The rooms were perfect with comfortable beds and good facilities. We were travelling with 2 dogs and there was an amazing walk on the other side of the road, under the A1.

Cons:

The only negative comment I could make would be about the outside of the Inn. The garden looked very untidy and unloved. There was only one suitable bench to sit on, on a very hot day and there was lots of 'stuff' everywhere. However, I think a good tidy up and the appearance of the whole site would improve dramatically.

Hidden gem worth every penny!!!
Pros:

We stayed at the lodge chalet and it was perfect!! Tucked behind the pub to give you some privacy, a lovely hot tub, a spacious chalet with a comfy bed, modern and cozy bathroom and living area and the welcome wine and cake were an extra touch! The breakfast is amazing (genuinely the best pancakes I’ve had in a while) and great location for bamburgh and seashouses! Thank you so much :)
