A Family Residence on the Main Street to the Old City
Pros:

The breakfast was the best part of the stay. I received a personally chosen breakfast every day, and it was delicious and copious. The location is on the main street leading to the old city, which makes it an easy 10 minute walk to all the historic sites. I chose this hotel because I arrived in Bukhara very late at night, and this establishment allows for a 24 hour check in. They also kept my luggage after check-out until it was time to take the next train. They were happy to assist with the luggage due to the stairs. All these features are appreciated.

Cons:

This is not a real hotel, you are living in an Uzbek family's home. Therefore, you will receive the same living conditions that they choose for themselves. The shower was only with warm water, never hot water. The bed was too short and extremely uncomfortable. The ac was weak, leaked water, and it could not be adjusted. In a hotel, your room, at least the trash, will be serviced every day. Unfortunately, neither the trash was emptied, nor the floor or bathroom tidied up. The main sitting area was hot, which made it unavailable to sit and eat or use the table to work. There was nowhere to hang up your clothes in the room.

Al- Arab hotel of horrors
Pros:

The location was good not more than that.

Cons:

It was cheap but we regret staying. Our rooms or toilets were never cleaned the breakfast became smaller after the first day. The toilet seat was Broken. The host did not return my change for drinks brought. Air conditioning was making a constant loud noise, the host refused to change my room. Therefore had to have the AC turned off in sweltering heat. The sitting chair collapsed after the 4th day and was not even replaced. I will be asking for compensation for a terrible stay.

Exceptional
Pros:

1st time I experience tha hotal request to leave your shoes then entering I'm really appreciate to them extremely nice ALAM JAAN's family they run the hostel.
Breakfast very delicious butter, salad, half fry eggs, fresh bread, hotdog nice taste
And I love special tea.

Washroom very clean

Amazing nice and cosy atmosphere, friendly owner with great advices
Pros:

Great quiet location with friendly staff which are ready to help. I spent 2 nights there with my daughter. The owner met us around midnight after our late train arrival from Tashkent. He was helpful with registration and advices about local attractions. Very close location to the main Bukhara attractions, will definitely stay again next time. When we were ready to leave at 2.00 following day, the owner was helpful with calling local taxi and preparing packed lunch fir us us we were due to catch the early train to Samarkand
