Very pleasant and would highly recommend

The lovely views made up for the lack of sleep
Pros:

Rooms were clean, the view was lovely with the sound of the river Clyde,staff were pleasant at check in ,breakfast,dinner

Cons:

The rooms were very hot ,For us we found the bed uncomfortably and the pillows were all lumpy , resulting in an uncomfortable sleep and we eventually got up at 5:30 am , we found the meals a bit pricey

The restoration of the mill and surrounds is out of this world wonderful.
Pros:

The setting is magnificent. The room was large, and well furnished. The staff in the restaurant were both friendly and efficient. I ordered a caesar salad which was obviously prepared by a chef who knew what he/she was doing.

Cons:

The internet access was intermitent to non existent. There are too many rules. For example, one is supposed to book both breakfast and dinner times before arrival. The time I requested was not available so I booked 15 minutes beforehand. At the preferred time the restaurant was only 60% full.

Great place to stay in a very interesting historic site.
Pros:

The hotel was very clean, modern and facilities were great. The staff were very friendly and were happy to help. We especially liked the swimming pool and sauna/steam room area. the hotel is situatied in a historic site of an old mill, with scenic walks and waterfalls closeby. We happily spent two nights here and didnt feel we needed to leave the area around the hotel as it was very interesting.

Cons:

I felt the restaurant was a little on the expensive side for some evening meals.

Pros:

We were here for my son's wedding and the rooms were far too hot 🔥 maybe some air conditioning would help as the fan that was provided made no difference.
The event would have been better all in one room as by the time we were moved from one room to another then to reception and then up to the main function room all the good seats had been taken and we had been there all day and wanted a decent table.
All in all apart from that the day was amazing and so were the staff.
