Good-sized room. Quiet location. I chose to stay in Kuilap because of the proximity to vegetarian restaurants - namely, Pureland, The Duan and UrbanGreens. Staff were helpful. You could walk from Kuilap to the city centre in 25 minutes if you chose to (although it’s a sweaty endeavour).
Aircon was noisy, even in quiet mode. An English-language news channel would have been nice. Breakfast buffet was standard for the region (which means you’ll struggle a bit to feed yourself if you’re vegan/vegetarian).
Many shops nearby. They have a jetty that can transport you very quickly to the main tourist spots. The room was spacious and very clean. Housekeeping is very consistent. Breakfast was nice. They have a gym if you’re into that. Wifi was fast. All staff members are very friendly. The hotel is well-known by the locals.

Good hotel in a great area. Close to everything. Room was larger than most, clean, had the usual amenities. Breakfast was buffet with a combination western and oriental.
The hotel did water boat rides from their own pier which is very convenient.
Recommend place to stay.

Clean, very efficient aircon, good breakfast. There is a pier just at the hotel, we took a local boat from there in the early morning to see the monkeys, afterwards we asked to be dropped off at the floating village. Many restaurants around, we really like Comfort Greens and Pureland - veggie options!

All,from counter staff to,breakfast staff all are friendly approachable.
Only when the electric suddenly when off a lot of time on the last day of our stay.
Room was large and clean and quiet. The staff was great, especially Azizi at reception. The breakfast buffet was great, and included in the price.
About a 20 minute walk to the centre, but you can take a Dart (ride app) for $5, or a bus for $1.
A very nice hotel in a great location.
The room was large, had water bottles every day, a fridge, good aircon. A comfortable bed, space for storage, coffee/tea.
Free breakfast was good also a gym if you need one.
Hey provide tours on the river which is quite convenient.

Fijne kamer, zeer behulpzaam personeel en dichtbij diverse winkels en ATM.
Als je naar het centrum wilt moet je de Dart nemen, is 2,5 km verderop.

Typical buffet breakfast with a pretty good selection.
Very good sized room. Everything worked. My air con unit failed in my first room so I was promptly given a replacement room.
A Dart taxi costs BND 5 into the centre however, you can get a water taxi for just BND 2. This is a lovely way to get from the city centre and takes about 5 minutes. Al Afiah has it's own jetty on the river and it's about a 50m walk to the hotel. Loved this.
