Nosy Be - Chez Pat
Pros:

A pretty good location, sea view with the sun setting on the horizon. The cleaners and the night staff were very polite and were genuinely accommodating despite the language barrier.

Cons:

Clean, but a bit tired compared to how it was presented in the photos on Booking.com.
Little attempt to tidy the beach immediately outside the hotel. Notices in the room stated "pay your bills every 3 days and before 7hr30 pm, one day before your departure day"; however it was impossible to order 2 coffees without being chased to square up. I forgot that the accommodation wasn't paid for in advance so I was presented with the bill at the end of our stay which wasn't a problem, but I had no Euros and they did not accept payment by any card. I had to go to the nearest cash point and withdraw just under 2 million Ariary, with a maximum withdrawal of 200,000 Ariary (approx £35). 10 individual card withdrawals with 10 lots of service charge !
It took 2 visits as I emptied the machine, and it took the poor lady ages to count.
I appreciate us English often expect everyone to speak English, but we even struggled to communicate with our limited French. It does however make me want to work on that for the future.

Avec grand plaisir j'y retournerai
Pros:

Le personnel agréable et serviable, souriant comme la plupart des gens dans ce pays.
La terrasse superbe avec la vue imprenable et la tranquillité. Même en étant prêt des endroits festifs on est à l'écart du bruit et de la foule.
Un endroit très appréciable avec un service restauration de qualité.
Je recommande cet établissement et j'y retournerais probablement.

Cons:

Dommage que le service restauration ne soit que le midi, on s'y sent tellement bien le soir face au couché de soleil...

Pros:

Emplacement. Directement sur la plage et assez proche des magasins et restos. Très propre, plage nettoyée tous les matins. Personnel à l'écoute

Cons:

On n'a jamais su manger à l'établissement, longue carte des plats au choix mais ils ne sont jamais disponibles.
Plage fort appréciée par une école à côté donc assez bruyante. La nuit on entend la musique des bars.

Évitez la chambre avec terrasse vue sur la mer.

La terrasse avec vue sur la mer, lit d'appoint compris.

Cons:

J'avais la chambre avec une terrasse vue sur la mer, sauf qu'elle est accessible à tous. Un soir j'ai surpris un employé sur la terrasse qui regardais dans la chambre sachant que les rideaux sont transparents, donc aucune intimité... Le mobilier est vétuste. Après mon inscription la patronne me demande si je voulais boire quelque chose, j'imaginais que c'était la boisson de bienvenue, erreur, elle me la facturée...

Nice, but NOISY because of the pubs and clubs. Tourists also need sleep.
Pros:

Centrally located. Great beach view. Staff very friendly.

Cons:

The CLUBS had Music playing till the morning hours. Impossible to sleep.
