It was fine but we cut it short.
Pros:

The junior staff were sweet and friendly.

Cons:

The room was ridiculously small for a family room. The pictures and description misleading. Also, the kitchen was right below the window so it stank of food. Particularly bacon in the morning.

It really is a restaurant with rooms. Rather than a proper hotel, as it describes itself as being. You have to go to the bar to talk to staff. There is a reception but never someone there.

The staff very friendly & helpful.
Our grandsons had a brilliant time because the atmosphere was so wonderful and the family room was perfect & fun.

Pros:

The staff, location and location were all excellent, as was the food.

Cons:

Our one grumble was that our room, although beautiful was opposite the kitchen extractor fan, which was left on all night. Despite being assured that it would be switched off at the end of the shift ....it wasn't. It was quite noisy. I did write but heard nothing.

Cons:

Jag tyckte allt var riktigt bra, om jag måste anmärka på någonting så är det priset, jag är en snåljåp!

Excellent stay with great staff, location and lovely room.
Pros:

All very good.

Cons:

One small comment - hotels generally do not have hooks for coats and also shelves in the bathroom for cosmetics etc. Same for the St Mawes Hotel!

Stunning views and great food!
Pros:

The hotel is in a fantastic location with stunning sea views, and we really loved the stylish décor.
The room was clean and had everything you needed. We ate in the restaurant and the food was of very high quality. It was also nice to have a separate entrance for hotel guests.

Cons:

Check-in was a little confusing as it wasn’t clear that there’s a separate entrance for the hotel, and this wasn’t staffed much during the day. There also isn’t really a bar area to sit and relax in, it's mainly a restaurant. However this won't put us off and we'll definitely return!
