Location, Breakfast
Absolutely wonderful breakfast. Freshly cooked and plenty of choice. The location is fantastic very close to the beach with spectacular views over the bay. A lot of thought has gone into making visitors feel welcomed. Teresa and her son Callum are wonderful hosts.
Perhaps a larger bathroom would have been helpful.
As soon as we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. The Property literally overlooks the sea the view is absolutely amazing. The rooms are spacious and the beds were the most comfortable we’ve ever had in a B&B or hotel in Weymouth. The breakfast was beautiful all freshly cooked and definitely worth a little longer wait. The hosts Callum and Teresa mother and son were amazing Hosts nothing was too much for them. In the evenings, my mother and I spent time in the lounge area upstairs where even though there is a bar they have no license as yet but told us we were welcome to bring our alcohol into the Property and spend our evenings in the lounge with the doors open with the most wonderful Seaview. The Property is decorated wonderfully with lots of information regarding Lawrence of Arabia. Each room has a different theme but I learnt so much about Lawrence of Arabia and found it so interesting. Even the music in the Property fits the theme it was the most relaxing times in the evenings. We have been to many properties in Weymouth and this is the first Property we have said we will definitely be coming back to.
There was absolutely nothing we didn’t like.
The breakfast was very good and the host was really nice
The welcoming host
Great location. Welcoming. Room was comfortable, especially the beds. Breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked.
Breakfast not served til 9pm so, because freshly cooked often not received til 9.30am. Would have liked breakfast served from 8am. 9 to 9.30 only is too late.
Very quirky and interesting place with a fantastic location overlooking the sea. Lovely owners and brilliant breakfasts.
Nothing
Excellent location, excellent breakfast and lovely staff (and dog). The Lawrence of Arabia memorabilia and information was fascinating. There is a great lounge packed with his stuff!
This hotel has the best view of the beach and sea. The rooms are very tastefully and artistically done. The cooked Breakfast was excellent! The bus stops, and the railway station is very accessible within 5 minutes' walk. Overall, a wonderful and memorable stay
Nothing to write about.
Bed in room 8 was big and superbly comfortable. The view was stunning.
Breakfast was massive and beautifully cooked, and all the options were named after aspects of the life of T.E Lawrence. I had an option based around steamed tomatoes, bacon and fried bread, without an egg in sight. Superb.
The decor of the building, while not yet complete, was striking. Each room was modelled on one aspect of T.E Lawrence's life, and the historical depth was astounding. The first floor lounge was enormous, and packed with Lawrence memorabilia.
It's an adults-only hotel, with very good reason. The thought of all that effort being wrecked by hordes of children is unthinkable.
The bathroom to room 8 is a bit tight - no doubt due to achitectural constraints. So no bath, and just a small shower. But the shower worked just fine, once the hot water had made its way up there. It's more of a pity rather than a criticism.
The location was perfect. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I love my stay here
Location, the breakfast the decorations
Amazing place
the breakfast was lovely
The hosts were warm and friendly and could not do more for you. They were very accommodating with our late arrival. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was top notch. Location perfect right on the seafront. We were staying for the weymouth half marathon and the owners were so kind to let us check out after we had finished so we could come back and change and collect our things. Definitely would stay again.
Nothing
Very clean and comfortable room. Breakfast was excellent.
Not a lot.
Proprietors were miserable. Nearly had my breakfast down me one morning as he could not be bothered to put tray on table nearby to pass breakfast . Put the tray nearly above my head to reach for breakfast. And they had a go at my husband for putting a wet towel to change in the shower. Where else are you meant to put them.
The location.
DO NOT STAY HERE. The owner was rude and abusive. The bed was uncomfortable. No curtain on the window, shower covered in limescale. Single glazed window so you hear all noise from outside. You only get shower gel, shampoo, toilet paper and coffee on the first day. When I asked about these, I got shouted at and was told that all the other guest bring their own. The plumbing in the bathroom, I have never seen anything like it. Every time we use it, it sounds like someone drilling into the wall and when the guests use the bathroom next door, we couldn't flush the toilet or wash our hands at night because of how loud it was. We were even asked to take our rubbish out and put it in the public bin across the road and you are not allowed to eat anything in your room. They say its a hotel but this isn't a hotel, its a B&B. if you call them they say its not a 24 hour service. If you're unlucky to stay here and you need to speak with them. DO NOT ask or complain about anything, if you do they will make your stay a living hell. Just suffer in silence or leave. I made the mistake and spoke with them about the issues the first morning and both husband and wife made our stay a nightmare. They are very twisted and will twist everything you say. There is lots more to say but I will finish here.
Superb home cooked breakfast, great location, very interesting and artistic hotel. Perfect for anyone who wants to experience the art deco style with the added bonus of the presence of T.E Lawrence in the archival memorabilia and style.
