My stay was good. I could go back again.
Pros:

The location is excellent and I take it that after construction is complete around the area, there will be amazing views. The breakfast was delicious and the hospitality was good.

Cons:

The Wi-fi connection was not good at all.

Short stay in Umhlanga
Pros:

We stayed in a huge room with separate lounge area. Large balcony. Very Clean. Secure parking in the basement (charge). Gym on the 6th floor. Bar and pool (small) on the 8th floor. Bar food was fine and staff were friendly. 25/30 min walk to restaurants or 10min drive.

Cons:

We arrived and couldn’t log into the Wi-Fi in our room. We couldn’t ring downstairs as the phone in the room didn’t ring out and had a recorded message playing. We had to go back downstairs to ask for help and then wait for staff to come and try it. They couldn’t fix it and told us to wait, they would let IT know. After 30 mins we went back downstairs and reception knew nothing, we ended up changing rooms. The WiFi kept logging out in our new room but we gave up asking for help.

The rooftop is gorgeous and dreamy
The room size is great, and it is comfortable
It is awesome having an iron in the room as standard
The staff is very friendly

Cons:

The free WiFi is very sluggish and this was a business trip
I couldn't get through to reception from my room phone. I had to use my mobile phone instead
The meals could be a slightly better standard - at the Rooftop restaurant. My medium steak was chewy

Cons:

We got food poisoning just before our trip and called the hotel the morning of our trip to request a cancellation or change of dates. They suggested it was not possible. We went through Booking.com and they were happy to give us the refund but needed the hotel to accept the refund. This trip was supposed to be in October 2025 to this day the hotel still has not responded to the request of the refund. I would not suggest this hotel because if you had an emergency or health problems they would not be empathetic to you.
