The Lodge is located just 50 yards from the main hotel reception with its own private parking and can be accessed via the hotel gardens on foot or via the road running alongside the hotel by car. The only difference between the lodge and the hotel is that guests come across to the hotel for meals.

It was my girlfriend’s birthday which we were combing with a hike the next day.
Pros:

What’s not to like about the Grand, we were made very welcome, the staff were superb, nothing was any trouble. The food was excellent, the room was excellent and overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our time there and are returning next month. Highly recommend.

Amazing hotel!
Pros:

The property was beautifully kept, very modern and comfortable, our room and bathroom were large and it came with Molten Brown toiletries which were an extra bit of luxury! The restaurant was fabulous with lovely views, the staff were wonderfully friendly and the food was outstanding! We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel and were very impressed with the quality of the food and choices. Thank you for a lovely holiday!

Breakfast was superb. PLenty of choice of hot and cold food.
Location of hotel was very good.

Cons:

Didn't like the cold shower when the heating was off one morning for a short time.

Excellent. Great hotel.
Pros:

The hotel was wonderful. The food was exceptional and all the staff, without exception, were helpful and friendly. We will definitely stay again.

We would visit again just for one night and choose a room with a better view.
Pros:

The restaurant overlooked lake Grasmere and the fells. A shepherd was herding his sheep as we ate breakfast.
The lounge was bright, comfy and very modern

Cons:

We booked the cheapest room with a view of a skip and a load of rubbish. Glad it was only for one night.

Pros:
