The view and silence
Being given the room which we didn't book ...to a room which has leakage and even the TV was not working...we booked for a self catering but the stove was not there 😅
Attitude and how welcoming the staff was when we arrived.
The bath towels had changed colour appearing dirty. We couldn't use them.
Well maintained and clean.
Save parking.
Nothing all good.
I loved the resurant. Their supper was delicious.
This place is terrible to say the least! We were there on a very cold weekend their aircon only releases icy cold air. We asked the staff on three different occasions to sort it out, they came, they fiddled with the remote and said "give it a few minutes, it should start warming up" which it never did. When we asked for a heater instead they said they don't have any. They have no electric blankets either.
The shower was horrible: when you try to mix hot and cold water to get a temperature desirable, either the water is boiling hot or it becomes icy cold. We reported this to the staff and they brushed it off saying "thank you for that,we will look into it".
Their gyser is switched on for only 2 hours at night during their own predetermined times. It is also switched on for another 2 hours during the day. If you shower outside of those times, you will hardly get any warm water.
The Kettle for boiling water has disgusting levels of limescale resedue inside. We couldn't get ourselves to drink water coming out of it.
The restaurant food and restaurant staff are actually amazing. The restaurant is beautiful, clean, serves delicious food and has friendly staff as for the rest of the hotel, you might Wan to give it a pass! Not worth the money at all.
Very good location on the way to the northern part of Kruger with easy stocking up in Louis Trichardt.
We stayed here for over 20 years, the family who runs it takes care for you and for their accomodation.
Restaurant recommended.
Location was perfect for our trip.
We checked in around 3 in the afternoon, collected our key and drove out to go see friends. On our return which was after 9pm to 10 pm gate is locked, security no where, we pressed the buzzer multiple times no response. We had to hoot at the gate and eventually security came to the gate to ask us if we have checked in. I told him yes. He must open the gate, he was gone for 15 minutes to get the gate remote. His response was the owner keeps the remote on him. I mean really whats the point of having security at night, That is an inconvenience and safety issue for your guest. I was not happy about that.
Our A/c was not working, the TV was not working . Our one bed had bugs not bed bugs. Lighting was not sufficient. The bathroom was the only place with good lighting but we needed plugs.
I'm glad they had hot water.
Amazing staff. Outstanding food. Adored the thatched roofs of this elegant and quaint hotel.
