5-Star Resort with Beautiful Facilities and Amazing Service!
Pros:

The Blue Zen is amazing. The facilities were incredible. The penthouse room reached far above our expectations. Everyone that we met were super nice. The resort was kind of desolate b/c we there during non-peak tourist season. The pools were great to swim in.

Cons:

Unfortunately we had to pivot when we wanted to swim in the ocean. The sargassum algae was a major problem here, as well as any other resort along the west coast. They didn't have enough labor or machinery to keep up, which is sad and killing the fish. The smell was horrible. Nothing the Blue Zen could do about it but it was a major deterrent from us returning to Caye Caulker if we decided to come back. If so we would stay on the East side of the island.

I will always recommend Blu Zen. Everything far surpassed every expectation.
Pros:

Beautiful location! Everything was always clean, no trash in sight. The staff were top notch. My family felt like royalty because everyone was so friendly and remembered your name. They really looked after us and made us all feel special.

Cons:

The restaurant (Lotus) is small but still amazing food and I really can’t say enough great things about the staff. I’m sure they’ll expand as the location and the area of Caye Caulker develops.

There is lots of seaweed in the ocean, making it undesirable to go in

Beautiful resort

Cons:

They were very stingy with their coffee pods, you were supposed to get 4 a day. But you always had to ask for them. I would recommend bringing your own pods. They sell them in the store for $5 a piece, which is very pricey

The staff are very friendly, helpful and polite. I wholeheartedly recommend!
Pros:

Gorgeous Spot!
On the North side of the island. Very quiet. The property is owned by people who don’t live there full-time, so the space is much quieter than other resorts. Nobody fights over pool loungers, which are mostly empty.
The hotel has a private boat that runs to and from the village every hour or so. The hours are posted and operate with military precision so it is easy to plan your day. You can also use free bikes or hire a golf cart for USD 35 for two hours. You can cross the split with both the carts and bicycles. If you are heading to “Bliss Beach” near the Blue Zen note that as of writing this, it opens at 11am.

Cons:

The only downside is the overwhelming smell of seagrass. It can also get a bit windy. There is no good snorkeling right off the beach. The water is opaque.

Good stay and probably would have been great if we were in a different unit
Pros:

Staff is exceptional took care of all our needs. Overall facilities are good. Quiet place. Grounds are in good condition. Pool was very clean and well maintained.

Cons:

We had typical tropical rains and the unit leaked in 3 locations. One leaked caused one of the air conditioners to fail. Bar chairs in kitchen need replacing. Bicycles need maintenance. Need more chairs at the pool. The penthouse rooftop deck has no furniture or shade structure so it is not worth the extra cost.

The property is on the north side of Caye Caulker so transportation between the south is on a schedule for the complimentary shuttle

Pros:

The rooms were beautiful, and the staff was friendly and helpful. They have multiple pools that can be used.

Cons:

I didn't like that there was little to no option for the countries native food. There should be more native food than non native. Also, I didn't care much for the stairs to get to the room. I would definitely stay again but would request a second floor or first floor.
