My third stay and I'll be happy to stay again.
Pros:

The bed was really comfy and the room was very clean. I enjoyed my breakfast.

Cons:

While the style of decor was great, the room needed a bit of maintenance - the window frames were very tatty and needed painting and the paint around the toilet and basin area needed replacing, due to steam damage.

Pros:

Lovely decor inside, comfortable room and super service. The breakfast was amazing and great value for money.

Cons:

The toilet and shower were ‘in’ the room. Not a problem for us but a couple who may want some more privacy may not have wanted that particular room.

Pros:

Close vicinity to town friendly staff lovely food

Cons:

Toilet basin in the room had not been cleaned and was in a very small space one light fitting on entry to the room near the wardrobe space was not working making it dark to see clothing .did not get fixed or looked at from any staff member after reporting it. The room was not serviced on the second day leaving no milk to have a drink bins not emptied .

Pros:

Nicely thought out rooms with good amenities. Pleasant staff.

Cons:

Tired and not looked after. Lots of cracked walls, musty smells, worn carpet, cobwebs and grubbiness.

Beautiful room, helpful staff, perfect location.
Pros:

Period property, beautiful rooms, all very different. Mine was in the second building and it was exquisite. Off street parking, great bar and restaurant. Views of Bedford School playing fields.

Cons:

Nothing. Perfectly placed on one of the nicest roads in Bedford. Rooms need a little bit of care but only a little majntenanxe.

Welcoming hotel, great food, free parking and great EV charging.
Pros:

It’s a character property with quirky bedrooms. Public bar is relaxing with open fire and restaurant food is excellent.

Cons:

Carrying luggage up narrow stairs is challenging. Rooms can be a little cold, but some additional heaters are available. Plumbing is a bit dodgy.

Lack of attention to detail

Cons:

The signature room is looking tired. Blocked sink. No candles in wall sconces. Only one small bottle of water. Nothing to add to the twin baths. Holes in walls next to sink. Soap holder missing. Air freshener empty but still plugged in which is a fire hazard.
