Basic just a room to get a nights sleep.
Pros:

The location was near the town. Was able to park the car.

Cons:

No one there when we arrived. Had to telephone.
A man arrived and didn’t seem aware of our booking or expecting us.
The hotel was literally just rooms.
The beds were clean and comfortable. A very tiny bathroom tucked in the corner of the room.
The shower was of poor state. Very ‘tatty’ and grubby shower tray. Neither of us wanted to use the shower. However the toilet was cleaner.
The room was warm.
The general decor was old and tired.

Good functional place to stay for a quick work trip
Pros:

This place has terrible reviews. It was fine, they were accomodating my dog, helped me whenever I needed them to.
Wasn’t a palace - but was nice and affordable place to stay for a quick work trip. Was well located. No noise issues.

“A terrible and frightening experience. This hotel is absolutely not safe—avoid at all costs.”
Pros:

I had booked this hotel, but after checking in and reaching the room, I was shocked by the condition of the room and the facilities. I immediately ran out of the place for my own safety. I even lost my booking money as it was a non-refundable , but at this point that doesn’t matter. I left the premises right away and booked another hotel. This place felt nothing short of a haunted house. I strongly advise everyone never to book this hotel.

Pros:

Location quiet surprise for center of town. Sheets and towels clean, new soft furnishings
BUT whole room needed deep clean, bleach and clean doors before putting in new linen etc.
Free parking.

Cons:

Deep clean.
VERY difficult to find your way out, nearly everywhere marked fire exit or not marked this way out.

No staff
Have to phone at reception to check in then had to wait 15 mins, no one on duty reception when leaving, very poor room.
