Excellent room and breakfast.
Lack of air-con during a UK heatwave. Known at time of booking.
Staff very helpful and obliging. Excellent location.
Could really have done with air conditioning when we stayed there.
Location in the middle of Devizes. Free secure parking. Excellent helpful staff. Good breakfast.

È particolarmente apprezzata l'atmosfera di questo hotel veramente molto antico..
Difficoltà con la connessione.

Nothing
Good selection of breakfast cereals and juices as well as cooked items which were freshly prepared. I had lunch here with family and there was a selection of menus which suited everyone including the children.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and went over and above to help me as I have mobility issues.
The Bear Hotel is an old property and will not be suitable for everyone who has problems walking or climbing stairs.
Room was clean and spacious.
Breakfast was amazing
Staff were really friendly
This hotel does not have a lift so would not be good for anyone with mobility issues
Het hotel staat midden in het dorpje. Motoren in grote loods, zonder deuren. Hotel is authentiek, en dat betekent vloerbedekking op vloerbedekking, krakende vloeren en lopen scheef. Heeft wel wat. Inchecken is vriendelijk.
Raar deurtje naar de kamer met opstapje. Geen diner, maar een goed alternatief aan de overkant van het plein. Het hotel is helaas slecht onderhouden.
This was our 4th stay at this hotel as we are mostly happy with everything and the location
The bed wasn’t very comfortable at all and didn’t get much sleep. Breakfast wasn’t that great either
Das Hotel von 1559 hat altenglischen Charme
Parkplatz war kostenlos
Gerade noch ausreichend Stellplätze am Parkplatz
The Bear is a large historic coaching inn in the centre of town with interesting features. The staff were very helpful with storing our bikes overnight.
The room was very small with small beds. The ensuite was clean and modern and efficient. It was not the hotel's fault that the weather was very hot and the need to have the window open and a fan on at night was difficult. The window opened onto the rear roof with the hotel's air conditioning unit and extractor fan etc., so a bit noisy but fortunately not smelly.
Some of the staff weren’t exactly welcoming .. had to ask a lady to serve me at the bar & she was a little grumpy to be honest .. she was at reception & away from the bar
The bed was the smallest possible single & very hard .. as with the out door seating.
GOOD BREAKFAST AND SPACIOUS ROOMMORE
MORE VARIETY ON DINNER MENU
Great place to stay in Devizes. Rooms clean and comfortable.
Breakfast excellant
The location and the general feel of the hotel!
The room was very hot and it was difficult to ventilate well. Given this is the UK this would not normally have been an issue, perhaps, but it did take the shine off an otherwise good stay!
