Pros:

Location was ideal

Cons:

The room wasn’t clean. There were hairs in the bathroom and the bed. The staff were ok but not great. I wanted to check out but they were all outside smoking under the canopy.

Pros:

The breakfast was amazing! 100% recommend this!!

Cons:

Bit outdated, but saw you have plans to update! It needs it!! Shame there is no lift as bags/suitcases are always heavy up the stairs!

Very disappointed in the lack of accessibility in a supposedly accessible room.
Pros:

The Staff were friendly and made us welcome, including our dog. The food was really good although a menu in the rooms would be helpful.

Cons:

I'd booked an accessible room. I couldn't even have a shower as I hadn't a hope of getting in the shower as the bath was too high. even my fully abled partner struggled to get in as it was so high. There was nothing in the room that made it accessible other than the chord (which was tied up out of the way. Even the mirror with the hair drier was too high by a country mile. I can't stand for long and had no chance of seeing in the mirror even if I could stand up. The bed wasn't comfortable either with a huge ridge down the middle where two beds and been pushed together. I romantic night away sadly didn't feel like it. It's a shame as the staff were so lovely.

Very little sleep but good location
Pros:

Good location for beamish museum & Newcastle. Showers nice and hot and powerful

Cons:

We booked 2x twin rooms and were assured they would be next to each other when we phoned ahead 6 hours before arrival. When we arrived we were given a double room on the second floor and a twin room on the ground floor as something had gone wrong with the booking!? The ground floor room faced the car park, single glazed windows & constant noise with people talking outdoors and teslas in /out using the chargers at all hours. Fire alarm went off around 7am, false alarm, these things happen but no apologies from the 2 staff on site. The only socket to plug a phone charger in was behind the curtain and had the tv plugged into it. Rooms are dated but clean.

Frustrating, poor customer service never again.
Pros:

There was a bath in the room.

Cons:

The hotel deputy manager was extremely rude, the breakfast was poor and cheap, we ended up with parking fines due to poor guest services on arrival and they were not helpful once we received the fines. The free including parking cost us an additional £40.

If you’re traveling with a dog there is only one table you can eat at, they don’t properly look after you and your pets. The only bonus is the staff are that badly trained they forget to charge you when you arrive for you dog.

Stay here as a last resort.

Very disappointing. Won’t be booking in the future
Pros:

Was freshly cooked to order

Cons:

The sticky tables in the restaurant. The taste of the coffee
The bedroom furniture was old and chipped. The windows were very dirty. The toilet made an horrendous bang when you sat on it which we reported at the time. The whole place felt sticky and unloved
