Excellent staff and a great location.
Pros:

Staff were excellent and always went the extra mile to help out and engage in conversation, I can't speak highly enough of them. The restaurant atmosphere is good and the food is well prepared, they catered very well for my wife who is gluten and dariy intollerant. The room was comfortable and clean. Location to the centre of Wells and all it's facilitites is very good and everything is within a short walk. We were there for the street market which was a bonus!

Cons:

Slight downside is the road noise but we live in a very quiet area so anything other than close to silence is noticable.

Great place to stay
Pros:

Loved the decor of the rooms, the shower was amazing, location is perfect for wandering round the beautiful city centre and the staff were just the best. We loved the complimentary breakfast and we especially loved our breakfast lady. Thank you for a lovely stay, we’ll be back.

Excellent stay
Pros:

Rooms were a good size and the bathroom was also very nice. continental breakfast was good and they catered for dietary requirements very well.

Cons:

the tap in the bathroom was loose but otherwise there were no issues.

Really enjoyed our stay. The staff were super friendly and I would stay again if visiting the area.
Pros:

The room was beautifully designed. The decor was amazing.

Cons:

Breakfast would be good but we knew this after booking. We stayed on New Years Eve and it would have been good to have breakfast but we found somewhere locally to eat. It was just a little niggle but no problem.

Pros:

Charming. Quintessential English. And the food in the restaurant is excellent. We were in the king room. Parked in the Tucker street lot about 3 min walk.

British luxury pub stay at its most finest!
Pros:

What a quintessential British luxury pub stay! Everything about the place is luxury from the delicious smelling hand soaps to the softest sheets to the soaking tub. The rooms are designed so tastefully! I would definitely suggest upgrading to the special room on the top floor that has the tub. It was such a spacious room and of course gorgeous bathroom.
Very convenient location - just a 5-min walk from the city centre.

I think they should have put a copy of the reduced menu in the room for carnival night to make you aware of what was on offer. Plastic glasses not for me!
