Pros:

Bien situé à quelques minutes de marches du Malecon, mais loin du bruit.
Très tranquille, confortable et propre. La piscine fraîche et la terrasse avec une vue sur la ville et la mer sont un plus.

In spite of a few minor issues I’d happily go back!
Pros:

The owner/ caretaker was lovely and communicated quickly and efficiently. Loved the unit I stayed in as it had an outdoor kitchen and a large private patio. Bed was comfortable. Plenty of room. Everything was clean. Plants / foliage were lovely. Cinco de Deciember was a lovely area, close to everything I wanted.

Cons:

I struggled in the bathroom as the room was quite narrow and I’m not a large person. Most likely the other rooms had larger bathrooms. The water temperature while showering was inconsistent and showering was unpleasant for me. Sewer smell from the bathroom sink. The pool was beautiful but not practical for swimming.

Well located, great management, clean but very basic room in a nice converted casa

Overall the property is nicely maintained and the staff great. The room i selected was priced appropriately as it left much to be desired for a longer stay

Cons:

My room was not great, although the pictures in the ads honestly presented a sparse area with minimal amenities and so it came as expected. It was clean and maintained well. However the closet does not really exist; its a flimsy add on shelving unit made of fabric that collapses under weight and is awkward to use. The bathroom sink is in the room itself and is the size of a spit sink in a dental office, with no space for holding a toothbrush, soap dish or for washing adequately. The shower is located over the toilet with only a shower curtain to separate them. There are only two small shelves on either side of the bed for leaving things, and the room requires a large curtain to close it for privacy since the main door opens onto the common areas and is metal framed glass.

So i would go back, but I would pick a better room

Pros:

The proprietor,, Leonardo, might be the nicest man in North America, but my room was tiny and chairless. The air conditioning was top notch, and the proximity to the Malecon was another nice feature.

La sensation de sécurité, la disponibilité et la volonté de Leonardo à régler les problèmes et à nous aider en quoi que ce soit. La possibilité d'avoir accès à un petit frigo et à un four micro-ondes. Et naturellement les superbes couchers de soleil sur la terrasse.

Cons:

Ma chambre était rudimentaire et dotée d'un tout petit lavabo qui s'écoulait trop lentement. Mais le lit était confortable et le quartier tranquille pour dormir.

A cozy and charming stay that I’d happily return to.
Pros:

I loved this place! It felt very cozy and welcoming. The space is beautifully decorated with classic Mexican details and colors, full of plants that make it feel warm and charming.

The location is great too, just a couple of blocks from the start of the Malecón, so everything is easy to get to and very walkable.

And our host was amazing, always in touch and very attentive, checking in to make sure everything was going well. I would definitely stay here again.

Cons:

There was honestly nothing I didn’t like, my experience was great overall.

Wonderful stay
Pros:

I only have positive feedback- everything was great! Location was in a quiet street and walking distance to everything. Sleeping arrangements was great. Clean bedding, towels, AC, and fan The host was super friendly. This is in my favourites and would stay again.

Pros:

We loved staying at Casa Rey Sol. Leonardo was very helpful and super nice! The terrasse was a hit, and we enjoyed the great view over the ocean and Puerto Vallarta. We loved having 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The location was also great. Really close to the beach, restaurants, coffee shops, and boutiques. We can highly recommend staying there!

Pros:

Volver a vivir lo típico y tradicional de Puerto vallarta….especial agradecimiento….a su manager en turno…. Leonardo baca….. por su dedicación y esmero en su labor……!!

Excellent location and lovely staff. Quiet street despite being very close to everything.

Cons:

The description and pictures are misleading. The pool is a small decorative pool, not for swimming. The description of "each room has a terrace or balcony" means there is a shared terrace/balcony for all guests. It was reasonably clean, though my shower curtain was covered with mold. I wish I had heeded the reviewer who mentioned that the room smelled like raw sewage. My bathroom also reeked of raw sewage, and the scent traveled into the bedroom, and shortly into my stay, the toilet began leaking from the seal on the ground, though I didn't flush any toilet paper. I left early due to these conditions, and the owner told me to reach out to booking.com to get a refund for the nights I forfeited, but then did not agree to the refund. If you're just looking for an affordable place to sleep with 0 creature comforts that's close to downtown, this is an ideal location.

Buena ubicación, falta mantenimiento
Pros:

Tiene buena ubicación, son 4 cuadras cortas de donde inicia el malecón, aunque esta un poco obscuro, se siente seguridad en la zona.
Siempre hay agua caliente y mantienen muy limpias las áreas comunes.

Cons:

Faltan muchos detalles, por lo menos en mí habitación no había ni un clavo ni gancho para colgar la ropa.
La cortina es muy delgada y de noche se transparenta.
La cortina del baño no cumple con su función por la falta de ganchos y lo mal instalada.
La puerta del baño no cierra.
